This drama is one of the most changed from the original source material drama's that I have ever seen. The transmigration is different, the relationships are different. The love triangles are different. The period of life of the characters that the story focuses the most on is different. It really is a different story with similar named characters & somewhat similar circumstances.

Yeah, It is almost a completely different story than the novel!

Yeah, I just don't want either one to lose the growth that they have gained through this experience. That is the one thing I hate about the "It was all just a dream" method. In this story everyones lives will be exactly the same when they come out. The ml will be the company exec, the fl will be the jobless girl that threw everything away for the worthless boyfriend, and the worthless boyfriend will again be wothless and still chasing her. But this time he will be the one that has been a long term relationship with fl.

Especially since by the time he comes back, the main OTP will have been in an established relationship for at least a couple of years. I am not sure why someone would think they have a chance at that point, but hey who am I to question the drama gods?

It will be interesting to see how they deal with the time travel restriction at the end of this drama. I am sure that this will all be a dream by one or both of the main couple. Hopefully shared since they were both in the elevator together when this started.

He shouldnt be. Because as of now at least 2 years have passed since his injury and since the lead couple have been together. We dont know what has happened with the ex and what has happened with his relationship with the fl because it hasnt shown it.

I know this adaptation is so very different from the novel. It is actually almost a completely different story. But this character in the novel was pretty tragic. He was going to confess to fl right after the college exams and she was actually going to consider dating him. However they got into an argument and he left her crying in the rain - by the time he reaized his mistake and went back the ml had already come and picked her up. She was done with him after that. He continously looked back at this with regret - for years. He never got over her.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of this guy. I hope this injury and the realization that the fl is into someone else puts him on a better path. FL was happy that the ex was going to play overseas and felt like this restart was giving everyone a better chance at life. He may come back when things are different. She will probably have to reject him properly and not just avoid him.

The kiss scenes rival some of the vertical drama's.

The Intimacy coordinators did a good job on this drama, and kudos to the censors for letting the scenes stay.

I do - I am quite satisfied that she is as emotionally invested in the relationship as he is at the end.

The biggest problem at the end is that she is actually more secure in their relationship than the ml - in the last episode he gets jealous over the fl wanting a cat- he even runs away from her and basically ghosts her so they cont go and get a cat... A FREAKING CAT!!!!

It then transitions into her finding out she is pregnant... and I think to myself.. the man is jealous over a cat, how is he going to react to the fl giving all attention to a baby???

I just thought that was a moronic and completely nonsensical issue and I am not sure what in the heck it was supposed to show. I guess it was supposed to be cute and attractive - but I don't find a ml getting jealous over a cat in the final episode cute or attractive at all, I find it troublesome and it shows a regression in his emotional maturity.

She is way more supportive in the later episodes. The drama ML is a mess though. He is so weak and seems to manufacture emotional problems for himself. She would not have enough of herself to deal with the stupid crap that he puts himself through, much less the real issues (his childhood trauma and his mother).

The ML in the novel was plagued by his trauma and really needed the support that the fl provided to get him through all of the problems that he could not deal with himself. He was not so weak that he needed the fl to continuously reassure him that he was a man and that she loved him. In the novel that was a given. In this drama not so much...

The fl lead in the novel was not as cold as the fl in the drama - that is definitely for sure, but I don't think the drama fl is as cold as she sometimes comes off. I just think that for those of us that have read the novel, it is a stark difference.. It is almost a complete role reversal. The ML in the novel was a complete alpha male - described as just standing out from every other male that he stood next to. Cold and distant. The fl was strong as well, but she was definitely more outwardly emotionally invested in the relationship than the fl in the drama.

When we see them on screen there is a bit of a cognitive dissonance from our expectations. I have really tried to comparatively distance the drama from the novel. I just had treat them almost a s different stories.

You are welcome! The chemistry between the leads makes this a really nice watch for me. I love strong female leads that take initiative in their love lives.

I also like that the female lead approached this relationship in a mature way.. no fish kissing and only hand holding to start the relationship. She went after the ML - knew what she wanted, and when he finally amassed the courage to express his feelings towards her, she was straight up with him where she wanted to go with this relationship. I love it!

He hires professional managers

They are back in the home town at the end and the wife is pregnant. He has decided to study accounting/ or similar - instead of running his mother's company. They don't have to worry about money!

In the novel he was extremely wealthy - like using 100$ bills for toilet paper kind of wealthy !

I get the whole toning down of the male lead's alpha masculinity & over-confidence from the novel, but come on.. the last episode and the guys is still so insecure in his relationship/marriage that he is jealous of his wife getting a cat - because she looks at cats with more love in her eyes than she looks at him? Are you serious??

This has to be the most insecure ML I have EVER seen in a drama & I have seen a LOT of dramas!

DESPITE THIS, I still liked the drama and I thought that the leads had great chemistry. It was definitely a different take than the novel, but I have to say that I did like them both as separate pieces of work!

You are correct about the male lead in this story. In the novel he is way more "manly" for lack of a better word. I was a bit suprised about how much more weak they made the ml in the drama. He is almost like a different character. He definitely was not the inexperienced virgin type in the novel. They toughen him up a lttle at the end of the drama it seems but still.

In the novel, when she wanted the divorce, even though he really didn't want it - the ml went all noble idiocy and actually signed the divorce papers and left them for her. He had a far less hard time emotionally with the break up than she did. Which is within his character arc as he is SUPPOSED to be emotionally stunted due all his childhood trauma.

He was also the one that initiated most of the intimate encounters - or at least very much actively participating. In the drama, he is afraid and timid and avoidannt. at least at first. It does seem to get better later on.

The fl in the drama seems to be the one in control of the relationship. In the novel the ML is the one really in control of the relationship. As a matter of fact that is one of the things that concerns the fl when she first starts pursuing the ml in the first place. She states that she is so used to controling her relationships but admits that she can not control the relationship with the ml. It scares her but also draws her to him at the same time.

All that to say. I think you definitely have a point to your argument. especially where this drama is concerned.

I did not say it was mature nor do I think it was a great idea. I did say it was realistic and that it is something that happens all the time (in real life). Also, In real life, the chances of that relationship continuing are really poor. However, this is not real life, this is a drama and this fictional- idealistic drama love will be the thing that will make them be successful in overcoming those enormous early relationship hurdles. And that is what I paid to see :)

Their love for each other and their reliance on each other only gets stronger They still have a bunch of things they have to deal with - and they do it together. The biggest thing will probably be his mother - She hates him enough to kill him - so it is going to get really nasty and they will have to rely on each other to survive.

I like that they got married early without really knowing each other - because it happens all the time in RL - I think it was completely realistic to also talk about divorce and breaking up to deal with their problems early on - especially since neither one had a whole lot of time and effort invested in the relationship at that point.

However, there is something there that drives both of them together and makes them want to resolve things without an actual split. They would be one of those drama couples that if they did split - they would meet up 5 years later and magically re-unite again .... They have that kind of chemistry!

I may be a little biased because I have read the novel - and during that questioning period (break up and divorce) they really went through emotional hell. The FL especially, she was drinking and in pain - especially at first. She went looking for him - when they reconciled.

And the same day that they actually become a couple, she wants to sleep with him, but he is a chicken. So yeah, it is that kind of relationship for the OTP :)

They do not in the novel. But there are a lot of things in this drama that are different in the novel.

must eek out as much drama as possibe! And shows also like to mislead with previews too!

technically it can't be a breakup because they really aren't even back together yet :)
