I think the show was trying show her clearly drawing a line with SH. By his own words what she told him deeply…
Yeah, I agree. That is why I believe she has never loved SH at all. Sure she was attracted to him physically and attracted to his money and what he could do for her. She is no different from her mother in that respect (who I believe has never really loved the chairman - definitely not as much as he loves her).
Her responses to the fake pregnancy and the marriage between SH and YC were very mild in my opinion. She was relatively stoic and her following scenes were not the K-drama staple of tears or pining in regret. They were in fact JW basically categorizing those issues as enemy strategies that needed to be countered.
It’s so ironic that JW is upset over SH’s “new” marriage and YC’s supposed “pregnancy”, to the point…
I think the show was trying show her clearly drawing a line with SH. By his own words what she told him deeply impacted him. Because she didnt throw out a superficial "I love HN" to him she clearly told him exactly what HN is to her. Which was definitely a much stronger connection than "I only loved your money and your abs SH"
I actually loved that ending. HN is so sincere and I love that his confession was original and heartfelt-not some…
The show has done a lot to empasize the depth of the relationship between HN and SW the past few episodes. They have shown a couple of scenes with JW initiating intmate caring touches with HN and have even had a scene with JW and SH where she clearly contrasts her feelings for SH vs her feelings for HN. These scenes are for a reason. Either the show wants us on the MC ship or they are trying to misdirect us.
I’m probably the only one who likes HN. He’s down to earth and sincere and honest despite growing up with…
I like him as well - for all the reasons you stated. And you are spot on about his feelings for JW vs SH. HN actually has a history of caring for JW beyond sleeping with her. SH feelings are so obsessive. What did he share with JW besides their bed? He knew nothing about her real life or her real self. He "fell in love" with a version of YC that JW was playing. SH "fell in love" with someone who does not really exist.
He’s a nice guy but a cowardly man who waited until the woman he liked was getting attention from another man…
yeah - I just wish that this drama would not have gone this way. It was never going to end well for the 2ml and the show - It was just a miscalculation on their part. They should have gone the C-drama route and given the 2ml and 2fl a separate arc
If the end game was to put the 2ml with the 2fl, I wish they would not have had the 2ml have feelings for the 1fl LIKE they did with the 2fl NOT having feelings for the 1ml - If they could have just stayed consistent within their own story line.
However, I think this show wanted to create a second male lead syndrome kind of situation - BUT, it backfired spectacularly! The amount of hate that the 2ml has gotten on this board is almost unprecedented for a character that was supposed to be a supportive, attractive, long suffering friend archetype.
Ha-ha! A serenade from Ha Neul. And urg how old is Se Mi , Young Chae to keep whining to their moms?! 🙄😒Se…
She may be affected by SH but she has goo eyes for HN. She will reject him of course because she does not want him to get hurt - but she has even told SH exactly how much HN means to her - and even though it hit SH harder than her telling him that she loved HN, he still cant let go.
Wtf is this ending... I hope the chairman get punched. If not. Am i rating this sh*t 0/10.
You know, I get these dramas are a work of fiction, but it really makes me wonder sometimes what the work environment is like in South Korea. It is 2025 and we have high position employers hitting low position employees - in front of witnesses like this is an expected everyday occurrence. This is assault - people would be put in jail and lose their jobs in the real world. I just don't get the portrayal that this an expected type of behavior in South Korea? Unless it is ????
Se-mi is Hye- ra's daughter which would make her and JW bio half sisters. I have not really seen these two even…
I hope they will eventually acknowledge that they are sisters and at least try to have some semblance of a relationship. Right now it looks like neither one really has anyone in their corner. JW has HN of course, but SM wants to take that away from her right now. I will say there are some really interesting personal dynamics and relationships going on in this drama.
Se Mi and YC running to their parents at their age is so cringe.
Se-mi is Hye- ra's daughter which would make her and JW bio half sisters. I have not really seen these two even acknowledge this aspect significantly in the drama yet. And also The chairman is her and SH's father which also makes them bio-half siblings. Poor Se-mi - she literally had her brother marry her sister in this drama......
I’ve been watching this daily and I’m considering watching a week at a time now. I’m losing interest. What…
It is better when they are actually doing something instead of just talking about it. How many times are we going to have our leads go into someone's office/house and tell them how much and how bad they are going to destroy them and how much chaos it is going to cause... quit talking about it and do it!
The marriage was for revenge purposes only (not because she was in love with him). She married him to get into…
I agree! But they went down that road for a reason. I think it is to set up for SH's father like spiral into obsessiveness. Look at what has happened so far to everyone because of his father's obsessed feelings for JW's mom. It is not just irony that their offspring started down a very similar path.... It is looks like the writer is wanting to make ironic generational connections ....... It is actually kind of cool...
I'm still watching this but I don't care about any of the characters. And CJW wanting to divorce her husband makes…
The marriage was for revenge purposes only (not because she was in love with him). She married him to get into her mother's house (and partially to have access to the rich lifestyle). Now that it has come out that she is Su-ah, she doesn't need to be married to SH any longer. She has access to the house and to her mother because everyone knows that she is her mother's daughter. AND the marriage is actually an inconvenience to her now. She is now SH's sister - regardless of if it is not biological - sibling romantic relationships is a big drama sin - the cause of many break ups in drama land! And the parents have already put the big NO to that relationship going forward!
Bottom line is the marriage is no longer useful and is actually a hindrance to her now. So bye bye SH!
Looks like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. SH's daddy (TS) is a woman obsessed crazy person - and now it looks like we are going to get to see SH fall right into his daddy's shoes. It is a shame too - I had hopes for him - however it was a big red flag at how fast and how much he "fell in love" with her. Love/obsession I guess there is a fine line - However, my line is drawn when a woman repeatedly rejects you (for whatever reason) and you just wont stop and you keep crossing the line - It is no longer romantic. It becomes a violation of her agency. NO MEANS NO! Even if you are/were married and even if she has said yes 100 times before!
I hope he does not go along with pretending he is married to YC. That woman offers nothing but drama and she is…
The problem is that he is legally married to her. So technically their marrige is not pretend. If he wants to be rid of her, they have to divorce. It wont be easy
That is why I believe she has never loved SH at all. Sure she was attracted to him physically and attracted to his money and what he could do for her. She is no different from her mother in that respect (who I believe has never really loved the chairman - definitely not as much as he loves her).
