I think that this has been a deliberate omission from the show- It has been the elephant in the room since they floated the TS is JW's father idea. They have just completely ignored having the characters address the taboo subject - well because they had to. The show did its duty letting the viewers know that the taboo was not happening on their show. However, they have made all the characters blissfully ignorant of such an issue.

SH has wavered in his obsession arc with JW. He was freely wiling to kill her to get what he wanted. I am sorry, but that is not obsession - that is greed.

So I figured what would trip him the most is what is slowly happening now - that He is being replaced by JW as the heir to be of the company. The thought of that is what is sending him right now and as soon as it becomes reality and the chairman actively pushes for JW - he is going to go bonkers! The reveal that chairman is not his father will only affect him in terms of what it means - that he wont get the company because he is not a biological heir and JW is.

Same here - I actually really loved Kim You Jung's portrayal of Baek A Jin in Dear X. I just wish they would not have flattened her out/weakened her in the end with the whole psycho husband arc.

Absolutely - I never said that she wasn't. I actually want JW to be even more abusive and even more manipulative than she is now.. They have actually tamed the character -

However, how I feel about JW has absolutely nothing to do with how I feel about YC as a character. I just think they made YC a one dimensional "mean girl" character .. She has an interesting back story and they could have done so much more with her.

I don't think people don't like JYC because she is evil. I think people don't like her because she is not a likable character. She has really not shown any redeeming qualities so far in the drama. She has been shown as shallow , selfish, and self serving - caring about no one but herself. Even in how she treats SH who she is supposed to like.

Personally I really don't care about her either way as a character. I would like it if actually did more even nastier things than just steal designs and pass it off as her own work. Kill someone or actually really seduce the man that was supposed to be your husband - If she is going to be evil then do something evil! - but just like with SH, the writers waited too long to make her go psycho.. Now it just feels flat.

Every time I see SH threatening people or comparing himself to his dad - or even like today saying that he is much worse than his dad. I laugh - I would love to question him. So how many people have you actually killed? How many people have you cheated? How much money have you stolen from others? How many companies have you taken over illegally? Oh zero? What about your father? - OK - So how are you so much worse than your father?

So I keep getting the image of SH as daffy duck wearing his darth vader helmet - spitting out his empty threats and drenching the person in front of him in saliva..

So by your logic then why It is OK for him to be evil and get revenge on her but NOT OK for her to be evil and get revenge for herself?

I'm just asking - I am not saying it is ok for her to have done what she did to SH at all - I wanted him to go dark like the chairman way earlier than now - (he is just too stupid and weak as a character at this point) .

But why cant JW be dark too? why is only ok for SH? why is she the one that has to be punished for her sins, but it is perfectly ok that SH to get his revenge? There appears to be a double standard there somewhere - that favors the man in this scenario.

No she never gave a crap and that is part of the whole plot line to this drama. She NEVER loved him- she ALWAYS had feelings for HN (he was her first love). She only married SH for revenge and gain wealth and prestige ( HN almost talked her out of it)... She broke up with SH when it came out He was her step BROTHER! Every one in the family opposed them being together at that point. He still wanted to be with his SISTER - even asking his parents to get a divorce so he could continue o be married to his SISTER -

but you know - it is what it is - to each his own

So then why is it ONLY her fault in your mind?

HN is NS's 'adopted' son at this point. The man he knew as his father was killed by the chairman. We are speculating that his lineage may not be what is presented.

I just noticed how Director Koo as a bit overly expressive in his concern. It may be nothing at all. But this drama has thrown some of the wildest secret lineage tropes at us - I just feel like at this point nothing is is off the table.

Yeah notice how manager Hwang was low key defending SH for hitting HN with the car. Also notice how shaken and worried up that director Koo was over HN? May be nothing but worth noting anyway.

We are not trying to make SH look stupid. He is doing a great job of showing how big of an incompetent stupid idiot he is in almost every scene that he is in. Has he done even 1 thing in this whole drama that has actually worked out? He was an idiot for falling for JW and marrying her in the first place - thinking she was somebody else!!!! And not just any someone else. The daughter of a family that his family already had ties with! How in the heck does he not recognize his best friend's sister? Because he is stupid. Anyone that dumb (who thinks he is a player) deserves to get played.

Yeah his line to HR today about why he wanted to kill JW should have been more specific - oh like:
"If I can't have my sister then no one can!"

SH is a sick joke! He is lusting after his
almost sister - and if he is not aware he is not TS bio son - then he is a pervert lusting after his bio sister. I hope that he lives a sick sad existence with nothing until the day that JW makes him unalive

I love how they are spinning SH as more evil than the chairman. chef/grandma : "there's an evil inside him far more terrifying than his father" -

OK - yeah - lets roll with that for awhile. At least he tried to kill someone. But then goes right back to his "don't cross me or I might yell and spit at you while doing so" mode

Yeah the obsessiveness doesn't land anymore. If he would have stayed obsessive all along that is one thing. But intermittent obsession? That is not even a thing. Heck he wasn't really even obsessive in this episode. However, we will go to next episode and all of a sudden he is obsessive again? I just laugh now at this character. I just cant even take him seriously anymore. I wanted him to go dark .. but he is just laughable - better to keep chairman evil all the way to the end - and HR take him out in two for one move...
