With that fight coordinator....it's good there's barely any battle. We've been proven many times that Dudu is more than capable to act on fight scenes but whoever did fight choreography in Ashes to Crown made Dudu looks like too delicate amateur that wave around sword....admittedly a beautiful delicate lady

The problem in cutting episodes to only 24 episodes especially if the drama adapted from book would be the pacing. I suspect Tencent and Youku more cutting cost and avoid too much lost if there's too many episodes, if it's success then just do another season. Personally I have faith in Dudu's acting and her name to bring audience. And this year seems to be her years.

The problem with this drama for me personally at least lay within the battle. The plot and the acting for me solid 8.5-9, remember technically Chu Zhao is a teenager to young adult so do not confused the actress age and Chu Zhao's so it definitely make sense she'd be often time impulsive, reckless and too emotional....she died as a betrayed young adult not a mature woman, it'd be unbelievable if she acted poised in her vengeance.

The battle and fight scenes 🙄 someone need to slap fight choreographer and director. I know they probably trying to make a beautiful fight or battle cinematography but they failed....with the scene of Yanlai taught Chu Zhao it was emotionally beautiful, but the delicate dance like fight scenes in the middle of war....yeah that ain't it 🤦🏻‍♀️ the problem ain't Dudu's acting or her delicate face....but putting delicate dance like fight in the middle of the war made it unbelievable 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Technically her character is a teenager so of course she'd impulsive and reckless...and too emotional.

I actually expected her went down darker path, to seized the throne for herself. The plot itself actually made a lot sense as she's only 18 years old and not yet 20 years old when she was killed in her past life in the story cmiiw. So she'd make many misstep, too emotional decisions or being reckless because she's basically a teenager.

It was the awful battle scenes that brought down, at least for me.

Exactly, she nailed that role to the T. But in this, it wasn't all lacking, she was actually great in palace court intrigue...she as grand princess that helped the emperor rules behind the curtain actually good, it was the battle scenes that let down. I'm kinda excited for her next roles especially in the doll game.

Personally I think CDL better play as spy or temptress compare as fighter, I agree that she's too delicate to play as female general.

Then they'd be bashed for being stiff. Being too friendly, they'd be call names, have sense of humour then they're crude....being indifferent then they're rude. The actresses would never win against idol actors fans.

Not as bad as I fear....Reba's acting is really solid here, this will shut anyone who dares to say she can't act. It was Arthur's acting that worried me because, there's stiff acting and there's Arthur's stiff acting.....yeah he has a category on his own, fortunately he's okay here, all in this is a good drama.

I was 🤨🤨 that's very intense bromance. The subtle romance between ZYZ & WX almost believable.....until the past about Ying Long & Bing Yi revealed.....then I was 🤨🤨 "are we sure there wasn't anything between...."

I mean with Untamed & Word of Honors, they were adapted from danmei, FoF had really.....close & interesting "bromance"

Do not watch The Legend of Anle for the love of everything unholy....that's not her best.
