Ding Wang's lap must feel so comfortable, huh.. YeLi often rests her face there, I noticed. In some clips, she also sits on his lap several times🫠

tbf mo jingli from the novel was even worse. he kidnapped YeLi before the marriage of her with mo XiuYao. tried…
i do think they write his character better here,

In the book, kidnapping Yeli and intentionally making her blind and weak with poison was unbearable. However, I'm somewhat interested in seeing how Mo Jingli's character will develop in the future. They gave him a childhood with Yeli. Here, he's not as extreme and trashy as in the book but Mo Jingli is still a loser

This YeLi is more dangerous and scheming than the novel version. Her character is given more depth. As BaiLu said, her character is full of layers. But i still like both of them tho, I just wanted to mention this.

Some clip from live streaming yesterday
🍍This one, those two look kinda blurry, huh?
🥬This one's super clear, though. Bro, you helped him get dressed, right? I remember that.
🥬Why even untie the rope? Bro, you can't undress yourself, can you? That's too much.
🥬This one I think is too clear. Don't they need to wear clothes or something?
🥬But why take it off? Answer me, Lu Jia.
🍍You're making me embarrassed, you know too much already.
Mo Jingli keeps being all whiny, then goes and knows about that scene where they dress each other, like he's in the scene too. I love how they tease each other😙https://x.com/Lubybai/status/2065302785990762530?s=20

The plot of this drama differs from the novel; there's no such thing as a young emperor. The emperor in the novel…
I don't know. Still clueless.

There's still a lot I don't know about the drama, and it's unclear where the plot is going. Who was behind Mo Xiuwen's [Mo Xiuyao's older brother] execution, and what happened on Mount Yishan?

It's important for me to know what happened first to form a theory. From there, I can guess who the villains might be and then predict how the story will end.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
Book readers...who ends up emperor in the book? Does the little annoying emperor keep his throne? Is their a change?…
The plot of this drama differs from the novel; there's no such thing as a young emperor. The emperor in the novel is clearly Mo Xiuyao's age, in his 30s. He wields absolute power and is extremely cunning.

But if you're still curious about the ending in the novel, this is just my recollection, as I finished reading the novel last year and held off on rereading it to focus on the drama version.

The emperor always felt Mo Xiuyao was a constant threat to his position, even after numerous schemes were carried out against Mo Xiuyao. He then devised a scheme to banish Mo Xiuyao and all his followers from the empire with an open decree that anyone who followed him would be an enemy of the empire.

He then established his own territory, though not a large one. Over time, his territory flourished and prospered, aided by YeLi cousins, grandfather, and others on Ye Li's maternal side, who were renowned for their education. Shortly after, because his territory lacked an emperor, he was officially crowned Ding Wang (King Ding) by his subjects because he vehemently refused to be emperor.

Wars then broke out across the various territories, enemies formed alliances, fought over territory, and were ultimately won by Mo Xiuyao's forces. He was emperor until his son was old enough to succeed him, then immediately resigned from his position because he wanted to go traveling alone with his wife, it was his son who became emperor in the end.
