Why do ya'll keep saying this? My Boyfriend is Cupid is a rom-com with a SERIAL MURDER subplot but managed to…
How come when you're commenting its just "stating your opinion" and when others do against yours its just straight out wrong? sometimes its just perspective and that's okay. You want this drama to do the same thing like My boyfriend is cupid? That didn't happen. Its fine. Not all drama's are same. yes, this one has melodrama and so what? calling something piss poor writing and slandering it just because it didn't go how you wanted it to is.....well you know how that sounds. and its not just stating you're opinion if you're actively trying to disagree with everything and stating its bad.
Which is why I stopped watching because I saw that writing on the wall. I'll wait 'till it's finished to see if…
I think they just want dan-shim to stay in the present without the past getting involved. Just a smooth revenge arc against mun-do in the present. No possibility of her returning, no possibility of a sad ending... That'd be boring...
Exactly. One comment to tell people you aren't liking this is enough, move on. Find something you like then.
I personally love how the storyline turned out. You have so many options of how the story might go now. Which makes it unpredictable at the same time. A lot can happen in 3 episodes tbh.

Tonal consistency means keeping a steady mood, style, or sound. I'm assuming that's what you meant by when you mentioned it. Since the start of the drama, from what i've watched. yes, there is a shift. but isn't that what usually happens in all dramas? there is always a parting or a problem, that is needed to keep the audience interested because for a 14 episode drama- if it didn't have the change in emotions, it would've been boring. and from the start, they made it pretty clear that there were a lot of problems to begin with. The soul swap, the king, the ml's past, fl's past... so the shift is actually quite predictable and even fun in a way. Isn't that what plot-twists are all about? Not knowing what may happen next is how a story keeps being interesting imo. I honestly didn't get what you meant by wanting the drama to have tonal consistency....because that seemed quite an...impossible expectation for a fantasy drama.
can anybody tell me why her one and only friend did that danger thing to her ? any body here who can explain me…
jealously. That's the only way i can think of tbh. A low grade actress just like her somehow and suddenly started gaining popularity. She got a better role in the drama they were working on together, she probably found out about her "rich boyfriend", her company started treating her better.... so i think jealously is the most plausible way. or....something to do with mun-do. That guy is crazy, you can't predict what he might've done.

Exactly. Im also commenting just like everyone. "I" think that your take is a bit too deep. of course its what "I" think. When you commented how you didn't like the writing because of the 'tonal inconsistency', stating your opinion- I just stated mine that its not that deep and you should just enjoy it. 😄. no need to get defensive. I wasn't trying to change your mind. and maybe you should drop it if you're not entertained. really, no sarcasm. Don't burn yourself out watching something that clearly annoys you.

um...its not that deep? Its for entertainment. and in kdramas, especially when its rom-com paired with fantasy- its far from just a normal light hearted storyline. I mean..."can this love be translated" is an example, everyone went in thinking its a rom-com😐🥲 but it turned out to be a whole lot deeper. yes, some didn't like it and some loved it. Its a fantasy story and i think the storyline is going consistently....
wow. I'm really hoping that this is the ending😭😭. But there was a glimpse of her back in the joseon era, crying.(in the preview of ep 12.) So i think maybe she returned?? I don't even know at this point. I truly learned what a plot-twist is from the previews of this drama. They can't be trusted T-T
If it really was just past trauma then what about the shaman? from today's episode i think its pretty clear that the past and the present are connected, as the shaman received the message(whatever you call it.) though i agree with idea that she is the same person, just in different time lines...
Mind you most of the things Sang Yan has done for her he never outright told her he did it. So how would she know?…
I think your arguing with the wrong thing here. They are just stating that you didn't quite understand the character of Wen yifan. And you did quite literally asked if "her Trauma has made her dumb?!". I don't think anyone will defend "their" drama if you didn't like the story or the characters but you stated that you were a fan of the novel and said that the drama is not as good. And Wen yifan's character is actually not that hard to understand. yes, they were close in high school and yes, he still cares for her. but you have to look at the situation from her perspective rather than the whole picture. She thinks that she hurt him in the past, which she did, even though she didn't want to. and the male lead cared for her indirectly and now, she appreciates all the things he's doing but is still guilty of the things she did to him in the past. She also has "trauma" about being abandoned (which is, yes, quite important and real.)
sometimes its just perspective and that's okay.
