was really curious on what would happen when the ML finds out the truth so i stayed for that. skipped a lot tho.…
sometimes these dramas do too much with the misunderstandings. I absolutely hate that trope. they took it way too far in this drama. at some point I stopped enjoying the drama because everything was so frustrating
PURE SPOILER. Because I don’t want no one else to waste there time like I did. The ml and fl are married for…
omg thank you so much. I watched up to episode 19. I kept skipping ahead so much because everything was pissing me off so much: the misunderstandings could have been cleared up with simple explanations. the FL went to such ridiculous lengths to hide her identity. The chemistry was nice but it wasn’t enough to keep me watching. I was just a bit curious about how it ends so thanks again for the explanation. I don’t have to waste my time continuing this
Omg the misunderstandings in this pissed me off. Couldn’t finish it. I’m starting to think a lot of these mini dramas aren’t for me. Like it gets to a point. This was so stupid!
The skinship was great. if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll be happy. But damn, a lot of the characters especially the FL annoyed me. I don’t really expect much from mini dramas but I think they could have done a better job. The FL decision making was so bad. How are you letting someone who is actively trying to harm you keep the knife you just stabbed them with???? The ending was so forced.
This was a solid mini drama. I quite enjoyed it. Zhao Jia Min always delivers with her performances. I was just annoyed by how linient they were when punishing Fufeng and the mom. Fufeng should have been arrested as soon as she stabbed that guy. She got away with so much. Why would the FL and ML keep her around? It was kinda stupid. I do like how both of her premonitions came true, the FL just didn’t understand what was actually going on and I like how they refused to look into the future of their baby.
Y‘all are gonna hate me but I didn’t like the second FL. I understand her backstory and I guess the implication is that she wasn’t completely selfish, she actually cared for Shanggue but even when they play back the moments they spent together I can’t feel that romantic connection. I feel like she always looked so cunning (and the actress did a good job of that) that there wasn’t any room for vulnerability. I do think there was chemistry between 2 second leads but if I could describe it, it would be more like a “dangerous attraction”. Loved Esther Yu’s action scenes. I do understand why people prefer the second couple though. I feel like they rushed things with the first couple. considering how they were willing to sacrifice so much for each other, I feel the audience needed more convincing as to why they had such a deep connection. also the ending was disappointing which sucks because the show had so much potential. I’m not opposed to open endings but this was a little too abrupt. I kept thinking there were more episodes I wasn’t privy to. also Ziyu’s sister being the sole comedic relief was a bit much. it just felt out of place sometimes especially when she would interact with other “serious” characters. this show has a strong start, stellar cast, I was so excited but it started dragging at some point. it took me way longer than I thought to complete this. I feel like Ryan Cheng was my big motivation to finish this. he is just absolutely incredible in this. I immediately wanted to watch his other stuff
I think Xue Fangfei is one of the best written protagonists out of all the dramas I’ve watched. I love her, no notes. I usually struggle to finish C-dramas but this was such an easy watch. It was so satisfying to see all the antagonists get their comeuppance. I loved how the missions of the two leads intersected. and for once we didn’t have a dumb king. The chemistry between the leads was electric and that’s saying a lot considering that they only shared a kiss for the first time in the last episode. Duke Su the man that you are 🧎♀️
These short form dramas need to be the standard. the pacing was just perfect. absolutely enjoyed Ryan Cheng in this. The chemistry was electric, the kid was adorable. no silly misunderstandings, no annoying antagonists and the story didn’t drag
