Come onnnn none of them are green flags. First Flora. WE KNOW that she can be open and vulnerable with the people she loves, she is independent, hardworking and resourceful. But one of her deepest insecurity is not being seen as someone competent and an equal. Like we always see Luke belittling her whether as a joke, tease or by hurt. Ofc she is going to feel like she needs to hide her emotions!!! A relationship is built on equal footing. Also she doesn't ask about Zang Yao much and does use the bags Luke gifted her...its because she feels like she would be just using that as a favour!
But again, she should have told Luke about the dating app thing (the matches weren't her fault tho, as told by Sun Yu), meeting with her ex...which ofc is easily misinterpreted. Again she feels like Luke doesn't take their relationship as seriously as she does and he doesn't care.
(We are so used to seeing perfect, flawless FLs in dramas that we forget how 3D characters can be)

Now Luke. Bro, as hot as he is, I am pretty sure if he wasn't as attractive, he would be sent to the depths of hell for his attitude. Ain't no one said anything when Zang Yao asked for a last hug...why are we clowning Flora then, especially when she doesn't even know about that incident?
And now the jealousy...who tf gave you the right to be jealous when you yourself have female friends, him out of all people should understand that opposite sex friendships can be platonic, atleast from your perspective.
And he knows Flora. He knows she won't ever do anything. Yet he hurts Flora, because he can't express his own emotions and be vulnerable with her.
Yes actions speak a lot, but that isn't enough. If you don't even respect your girlfriend and verbally put her down when you are hurt...sorry GTFO.
Also he does understand that she doesn't depend on him emotionally, yet doesn't make any effort to understand why. Always hands out orders. Mixed signals.

Break up already, heal and come back please. Also I dunno how all this is achievable in 6 episodes...

Fr if this was irl, I am pretty sure his ass would be reported to HR. Like who tf does he think he is? When he himself laid down this rules of maintaining boundary between work and personal life? And no matter how much his friend coaches him nothing gets inside his thick head. His friend must be tired af.

Exactlyy...when Sun Yu tells about the bad news, I think its about their house...then we get our dog...judging by the preview too, the next thing is about the real estate confrontation...please let them not mess up such a beautifully directed drama 😭😭

Everything is going really well. But at this rate I am really worried how the drama is gonna go forward...its not even halfway through the novel and 13 episodes are already over...and there is so much that happens in the 2nd half which is very important to the plot. Idk how are they gonna pull it off...Is there any chance of getting the usual 32 episodes for this drama?...otherwise I dunno...

This drama is so gooooooddd!! CHEMISTRY IS OFF THE CHARTS. You can really understand that the conflicts between them are valid. Personally, I am glad that Luke character is toned down (a bit?) in the drama. And despite being a bit shy and reserved I feel like I love Flora. She is so hardworking and firm in her principles when she needs to be...I would love her to be a lil more demanding and assertive? (WHICH IS COMING AAAAHHH) Besides that, I love the fact that there is barely any 'evil' side characters in general...which means all their issues are of their own and it feels really authentic. No uneccessary drama. The character development is gonna go hard...I just wish they don't mess it up in the end!!!

Yess...honestly it kinda makes sense...the power imbalance between them is a big deal and Flora gives it right back to Luke after they reunite and he grovels a bit hehe...

So, as far as I understood, its for a lot of reasons and its very tragic imo. Also I am not really sure about the timeline.
Flora works really hard in some project for her promotions in very gruelling conditions, but loses the promotion to some heiress who has connections. She comes to know that almost everyone on the board gave her top marks and it must be Luke who sold her short. (I mean lowkey I dont blame her...IMO in early volumes, Luke is HORRIBLE in the books...like he degrades and insults her at every chance he gets...which again I apparently is not intentional but his defense mechanism(?) WHICH MAKES HER FEEL INFERIOR AND TERRIBLY UNIMPORTANT TO HIM)
On top of that Sun Yuanzhu, who we see as the roomate, commits, due to depression. Flora is utterly devastated.

So, cumulatively, misunderstanding between, the grief around Yuanzhu and being the 'dirty secret' of Luke, Flora feels like Beijing is not worth living anymore. She takes their dog and leaves Luke.

Actually Luke tells her the day before she leaves (without telling him, just sends a goodbye message) that he is going on a business trip and after he comes back he would like to talk (It is later revealed he wanted to confess his love but Flora leaves before that)

Also Flora tells Luke that their relationship is - 'Ugly, Filthy and Disgusting' which obviously hurts Luke a lot, he shuts down, flashes his massive ego and pretends he doesn't care and tells her to get lost lmao (then bro cries somewhere) also she sells the bags that Luke once gave her as a gift to coax and pamper her (which she sees as a means to shut her up)

Like its a lot.

Why are ppl bashing Miao Jing lmao??? Man if not anything she is the one hurting the most. One day she was imagining a future with Chen Yi and then got sent away without her consent or a heads up. Imagine all the false promises made by Yi and how it affected her. Yes we all know that he is doing allat in good faith and to protect her but at some point he has to realise that now Jing is an independent woman who can handle things. She is not a child. You can't always protect her!! I wish he came clean to her. And even now he is trying to decide for her. Ofc she is gonna be pissed off!!

Also are we gonna forget how terribly he treated her when she came back??? Thank god the drama toned down his character bc personally I feel like Yi is a total red flag in the novel. And ppl are saying that Jing is so cold towards him - excuse me she is trying everything to protect him too and rescue him. We can't expect her to come and jump into his arms...and tbh one of her character arcs is that she feels like a burden and wants to do smth to help Yi too...

And now about the SML...I personally feel like she isnt encouraging him...she is treating him as a normal person...but yes she could draw a clear boundary...honestly the petty jealousy from Yi is PMO bad. Also I kinda like the SML...he isnt forcing anything at all...if anything he is caring too. THAT BEING SAID...Yi too is not ending things with Tu Li??? Like tell her bro its over. No. Just because we dont have much screen presence of Tu Li now doesnt mean its done bw them. Also Jing was never trying to get bw them because she is secure that Yi loves her.

I get Jing. Yi needs to understand that he cant hide things forever. Hiding doesnt mean protecting. Fess up mannn.

I started this drama with low expectations. I was facing drama slump and decided to give this a watch. But I never realised that Dazzling would become one of my favourite dramas out there.

The character development of all the characters went crazy, especially the aunt's. At first, I found both Ye and Wu so annoying. Then they grew on me so so much. The way Wu silently took care of Ye, giving her things she just mentioned in passing. I was lowkey worried that Ye won't reciprocate and take care of Wu the same way...like your typical FLs but she won my heart by gifting Xu the mattress.

One of the best things I am loving here are the unspoken feelings and acts of care. It only proves that saying 'I love yous' is not enough. Its absolutely beautiful how in the span of 25 episodes, there was no kiss scene, nothing explicitly romantic, yet the yearning eyes are stealing the show, telling way more than words could ever tell. Kudos to the actors. I dunno but this drama is healing something in me. Its slow burn in the best possible way. I wasn't bored for even a moment. The pacing is so good.

Another thing I love a lot about Wu is how he never ever imposes his opinions on Ye. And how Ye - once awkward and closed off, is showing her care openly. They both are so secure in their love, there are no ego battles or no misunderstandings.

I also feel that deleting the contact was a really good move. I believe that deep down Xu wants to leave Zhazhating to pursue his dreams...and it may appear that Ye was being childish and manipulating him, but I think she was motivating or urging Xu to keep fighting...to create urgency for Xu to study hard, as fast as possible and join her. And he even promised her that he will.

I just know that no matter what happens next this will be a 10/10 drama to me.

yeah exactly. his actions are contradictory. plus i really hated his jealousy arc. i mean the author had such a golden opportunity to make him a better person than his dad...i mean how jealous u can be as a teenager lmao that u have to hurt ur gf? that was the worst. if u think in hindsight, keifer didnt even like freya that much...his main problem was - she was talking with other boys...actually pretty much all the male characters in the show treat their partners as objects.

i kinda feel like neither keifer nor yuri even like jay, they are just competing against who can win her over. its their ego, not love.

i think i was always deluding myself into thinking a lot of things will be improvised. jokes on me. i have read what happens next and the third novel and imo it never gets better. yes, we all know that keifer has a reason for doing this...but no amount of sad past, threats justify the way he is treating jay. actually, a lot of abusers have a traumatic past but does it justify treating others wrongly? jay should leave the country lmao and never look back. get some therapy (she NEEDS it) and get away from these terrible people around her (which obv wont happen).

Exactly!! Idk why, but this script is giving 'My Demon' just gender reversed and gumiho plot? I kinda feel bored. But I think the acting is superb - Hye Yoon is slaying the role of Eun Ho! I just don't like the plot yet. Hope it gets better lol...I am only watching it bcuz of the actors too.

Exactly their onscreen chemistry is one of best I have ever seen!! They truly do justice to their individual characters, plot aside.

Ikr! The actors potray their respective characters very beautifully...but honestly, I wish people (in the drama) would stop treating Mumu like a child. From the very beginning, Zhao kept hiding about everything 'for her own good' and guess what? Despite being a lil impulsive Mumu managed to save him...I think after all that, atleast when they met by the dock or whatever, he could have told her a lil about his injury and the mission was over too, nothing was holding him back...

I get he was insecure and felt like a burden but thats how you build a healthy relationship! Communication. And I did not like the fact that it was Mumu, who had to seek Zhao out, all over again.

Imo, they could have developed the character of Zhao and made him reach out to her. He did not take the love of Mumu for him seriously at all. If she hadn't recahed out maybe he would not even try to get in touch with her. And that is especially diabolical after telling someone that 'we have a lot of time in the future'. I genuinely hate this trope of 'leaving you, for your own good'. Its insulting to the other person.

Aaand stop making Mumu cry already, yeah well Zhao is hurting, but its been earth shattering for her, imagine being worried sick bout your closest person, not knowing whether he is alive or dead and everyone except you knows bout it. While I understand Zhou's POV but can't he see how much he hurt Mumu? He underestimated her love for him man...I wish he properly communicated with her. But please give my gurl Mumu some peace.

Guys don't get me wrong, I love the chemistry bw Ashdres, but wtf is Keifer doing? He just just grabbed Jay full on and it was kinda abusive, because he was jealous, after he kissed her infront of everyone? And Yuri - bro is manipulating Jay every moment and gaslighting her as if he didn't stage the engagement! They are treating her like some object. I love a good love triangle but this feels so toxic. I can't even root for any of the guys. Atp, I want Jay to pack her bags and run cuz wtf. If this doesn't improve Imma dropping this.
