It’s a solid mediocre drama. I enjoyed some aspects and didn’t enjoy others.
What did I like? I like the first few episodes. Nice and innocent plot, reasonably likable characters, overall a decent start. After the first few episodes, I though the high school flashback was taking too long so I watched a few more episodes (looking back, I honestly probably skipped half of each of those episodes bc I kept fast forwarding) before ultimately just skipping like an entire 6 episodes to where the university arc starts.
What didn’t I like? The FL’s mother and her difference in attitude towards her kids and her refusal to have proper conversations with the FL about what the FL wanted to do and how the FL felt. The FL in the university arc and her best friend in the same arc. I kept thinking to myself, “Ladies, please stop embarrassing yourselves. Have some self respect and stop following these men like it’s all you have in life.” I mean, the FL going to insane lengths to stay with the ML was, in my opinion, pathetic bc of the lack of respect she had for herself and her future.
Apart from what I’ve said, I don’t feel strong enough about anything else to comment.
It had a good start, plateaued to the point I skipped episodes entirely, and then the university episodes were mixed with things I liked and things I didn’t like.
I definitely wouldn’t watch it again but it had its redeeming qualities. I don’t feel too strongly about it one way or another but since most of the time I was either bored, frustrated, or straight up skipping episodes entirely…I’m inclined to probably give it a lower rating like a 3/10 or 4/10.
I have it a 5 only bc I don’t know what rating to give it. The plot is extremely controversial and about something morally wrong. On the other hand…I’m most impressed by the actor’s commitment…seriously that alone, completely separated from the plot, is commendable. I don’t believe I’d ever rewatch or ever recommend this to anyone tho lol. A crazy piece of work to put out which again, I suppose speaks to the commitment 😅
