The overall plot, the casting, the acting, the music everything was good but it had some flaws towards the last few episodes it felt they rushed it just to end the drama within 40 episodes the final epdisode didn't feel satisfactory to me, they could have made it much more better, the story really had a potential but they didn't use it wisely, and i liked ye xian more than the main leads. One refresh and new thing compared to all the other dramas with plots like this is the young emperor in which they portrayed him like a real emperor he had thoughts of his own, kind and wise unless all the other drama where emperor are showed like a powerless puppets manipulated by powerful factions and needed someone to shield and support them..
