She was having her own hardship she cant possibly be happy or positive with her father being investigated, their property confiscated, having to leave her hometown because of debtors and her future plans ruined. She thought xingwu was a bad guy bcuz of the hair and style. She didn't have a good impression of the family because she was paying money to stay, the secretary uncle didn't help with saying money solves everything. She believed she was staying there only temporarily and she'd be able to go abroad so she wasn't going to make friends with these distant relatives she is meeting for the first time. The mother also wanted the money the moment she appeared. Second, she is used to her old life of having to wash up before going to bed, she was still drunk too and wouldn't have expected what happened either, she can't see the future. Plus at that time everyone were still at the wedding celebration. That place wasn't a slum either its a shared courtyard which is a safe place because it connects to multiple houses of the neighbours and she had showered before and nothing happened, xingwu also has installed a lock already at that time. ML also didn't suddenly appear in Beijing he went to buy the moving wheelchair for his grandma and he wanted to check on her he wasn't expecting to find her there crying from his character he was probably just planning on watching her secretly making sure she is safe then leaving discreetly. The drama is very well done actually if you pay more attention you'd see these details.

A drama where u can't even skip the opening ✨ truly a dazzling drama!! Pretty places, hunk ml cute bickering and the summer vibe is just so good and refreshing! Li Yunrui's singing the ost is also a huge plus his voice is so good to hear! His blond hair and character is so well done too! I cant stop fangirling over him

I see a lot of ppl talking bad about the story and calling it typical lmao its kinda funny cuz im pretty sure it isn't. Song Mo was everything in this drama! Li Yunrui's acting is just so good, his expressions, his eyes and his skills! And I'm not talking about his looks because everyone already know he looks hella good he made gray hair a literal trend in the cdrama industry. I loved this! I wished we had seen more of the ML though I wished we could have seen his struggles in the memories before more he looked so good cold and vengeful before the rebirth 😩 but anyways this is definitely a 10/10

Not so sure about the pacing part I don't find myself appreciating this I can't lie I loved FoF the way it started made sense this one however didn't hit the mark for me. There are a lof of scenes where it could have been scrapped and not made too long. I think he focused a lot not on the world building but rather on the aesthetic and beauty. Too much focus on actors make up, the way he made jjy speak so slowly and while I do get its made to fit her char as a nine tailed fox I think its still overdone.. The whole pacing is a mess, the story doesn't feel intersting at all with everything dragging I remember how insignificant the scene of jjy caught in the seal of the dragon deity palace and tjr walking to her ever so slowly just to say you've overstepped and while yes it tells things and all I get it but its was too stretched even a fashion show runaway is usually more fast paced than that you know? I just wanted to complain abt this cuz tbh while I appreciate the beauty of how he makes the world look and everything I feel like its too draggy for a drama. This is becoming like an upgraded version of indian series where they keep giving you shots from all sides. If he was going to do this I think he shouldve went with photography or done something else instead of a drama where events and the script is just as important.
