Some of us loved them in The Princess Royal. They are so comfortable with each other. I love watching them.
Love them both as well

On Our Generation Jun 28, 2025
At first glance, Our Generation: Cherry Amber may seem like another entry in the youth romance genre — but look closer, and it hints at something deeper. With Zhao Jinmai and Zhang Linghe headlining, the drama benefits from two rising stars who uniquely bridge generational appeal. While most coming-of-age series rely on lighthearted "tweetums" and formulaic romance, this cast brings an emotional maturity that feels both nostalgic and grounded.

What truly elevates the project, however, is the team behind the scenes. Zeng Lu, an award-winning screenwriter known for her work on The Story of Minglan, delivers a script that promises layered storytelling beyond the usual tropes. Backed by Daylight Entertainment — the studio responsible for some of China’s most critically acclaimed dramas — expectations are justifiably high.

If early buzz is any indication, Our Generation: Cherry Amber could very well be the dark horse of modern C-drama, blending warmth, realism, and a touch of 90s magic.
