I watched Justice in the dark (MoDu) before this drama. Almost the same plot but MoDu was more darker and intense. IMHO, i was a bit suffocating with the seriousness in each episode. Only lollipop was sweet in here. The bromance moments was good btw. 🥰 I watched the extra episode, make me laugh a lot though 😆
This adaptation is exceptionally successful. Everything was put nicely except the vertical format. Though, I watched it 5 times and keep crying on the same scene especially when you blend it with the scene in manhwa. 🎼 I hate this part right here...
Hello...can someone explain to me. Did Lin Yang die? Does those staircase NC was just Nie Chuan's imagination? If Lin Yang not dead, why did Nie Chuan cried me a river with those flashback? Wasting his tears for double or plot triple twist? 😅
As someone who read Tan’s manhwa, I think this adaptation is better than many viewers give it credit for. The pacing and story stay fairly close to the source, and the rivals-to-lovers angst is there — subtle but effective. The leads have strong chemistry, and the moody visuals fit the tone well.
My main issue is the spice: it’s restrained, and I kept wishing it would go just a little further to really sell their angsty love. The short vertical format also doesn’t give the backstory much room to breathe.
Still, if you liked the manhwa, this is a solid and faithful watch. Not perfect, but worth it.
Can someone tell the producer to make it into 8 episodes mini series for Viki or Youku or any other platform? Vertical format hides so many potential moments in this drama. The story is truly enganging...
2026 and still got no news about their S2. I will keep rewatching this series bcoz it give me warm and calm effect to my soul. XiaoTian & XiaoWang were seperated for 6 years. Am I strong enough to endure the same period of their longing to get S2? 🥺
I'm wondering why does the number of watchers is lower compared to other Cdramas premiere in the same month. Does it because of star power (Kido Ma & Zhilu popularity), marketing budgets or platform reach? This is the best bromance drama of the year. Period!
I mean...its a little payback? Like QingQing kept doing things that he knew FanFan would not like ie the flirtations…
Fanfan was too bitter in love while QingQing was too sweet in love. That's how I interpret their way of payback in the last episode. You'll get what I mean once you watch it.
Now I got the whole picture in Ep.12! Xiao Fan is a fox in sheep's clothes, clever damn! Both executed their "love plan" by broken each other's heart. But in the end, they got themselves a proper closure as a married couple. This drama easily makes my blood go upstairs since ep.1 lah, but the ending really put my heart at peace. 🥹
I'm not sure how many time I've rewatches this drama. Shaoye's laughers & tantrums makes me happy while Yuan Hong's calm demeanour with full of love is so mesmerising. Hope we can have 2nd season in summer next year. 🙏🏽
