Well, we can say they are power couple because they're husband and wife, but they have their own methods which surprisingly support each other plan. Both are clever. Don't worry, the FL knows how to protect herself. 😉 The huge age gap is the important factor to make the story more realistic.

If you don't mind a clean romance drama with good political plot and fresh comedy here and there, try 1 or 2 episodes, you'll love it.

Agree. One thing that lack in most of the romance plot is trust. Prolong misunderstanding ruins most of C-dramas for me. I'm glad the leads here talk about everything to clear the misinterpretation. Hopefully, they'll keep on doing it.

I'm actually sad that Xiao Wu Yi may not want the throne. 😭🤧 I'm suspicious of the definition of happy ending for this drama. The emperor may stay ruling the empire. But, still, I'll riot if someone else ascend the throne beside Wu Yi. 😤

I couldn't agree more. Hopefully, they'll make more drama like this, which focus more on emotional over physical.

For Asian dramas—especially historical ones, kissing on the forehead and cheeks would be relatable, in my opinion. We don't need to force our actors to do lip-lock if they're not comfortable. Kissing while dozens eyes (the drama crew) watching you is a challenge.
