Can someone please explain the plot to me. There’s so many characters I don’t understand are all the royal people related? how are the Sui and Qi related. I’m confused about the conflict and who is fighting against each other and why.

Do you know what his fans were writing about her? They have been threatening to physically harm her, throw acid at her face. He read the comments. While they were filming Dear Inn, three of his fans showed up to harass Shen Yue. They had to involve security and the police. The episode where they had the concert, there are behind the scenes photos of her having security that night because that was the same night those 3 girls all wearing purple showed up. She doesn’t owe Dylan an apology. She wasn’t the one who read the award wrong. His fans just don’t like her and he is appeasing them so they will keep buying the stuff he sells them. It’s all about business and not really about having hurt feelings. The group chat was to surprise him he didn’t not have to be in it. You’re all just making stuff up so you can be angry. It’s fine, you WHD fans always hated her anyways. Now they’ll never work together again. You all got what you wanted so why are you still angry?

SY was diffusing the situation. it’s fine. all of his fans that do not like her should be happy because now they will never work together again. so why are his fans still harassing her? they show up pretending to be fans and hand her hate letters. They are flooding her social media account with hate messages and threats to harm her and throw acid at her and then show up to her events. that’s crazy. No matter how uncomfortable he was, his fans should not be threatening to hurt people and as a public figure he should not have incited that.

All of the issues were actually addressed on their livestream on February 27. They explained to Wang Hedi about the group chat, they talked about surprising him by buying out a screening of his new movie to support him. Also, SY praised him plenty during the livestream to his face about his growth as a leader and how good of a leader he was. Wang Hedi looked satisfied. Yes he does have time for that. He post on Weibo to incite his fans to cyberbully others. He is using his clothing brand and production company to put out messages that he is being bullied. He is a powerful celebrity, if he really had a problem with it he could have just talked to them.

If he posted what he posted after reading his fans’ “analysis” (which is what he wrote) then that means he also saw all the hate comments against SY, in fact he was always aware of it. Every public figure knows the impact of what they share on social media. Dylan is very savvy and he knows how to use his influence to mobilize his fans. He posted at 2 am and soon after his studio posted to support him. Who posts in the middle of the night like that? It was orchestrated. He was definitely targeting her.

I can’t even understand what you wrote. but whatever his achievements are, he should not post on social media to incite his fans to attack others. You can make excuses for him, but EVERY public figure knows not to do this unless you want your fan to act.

what do you mean what are we talking about? I am talking about comments made by his fans that minimize everyone else’s contributions as if he is the only one working hard. I assume you are his fan, you sound pretty reasonable in your observations but most are not like you. And yes, the earlier episodes were highlighting Wang Hedi’s leadership and cooking a lot more than everyone else contributions. That’s fact. Probably because walking back and forth to get supplies to clean rooms and dedicating time to scrubbing the toilet, showers and bathtubs do not make good visuals for a good show. Though, they have started highlighting that more since the first couple episodes. Also, Qin Lan and Shen Yue are always helping Wang Hedi behind the scenes to be more organized though fans and haters say he’s doing it ALL by himself. The more recent episodes are highlighting the team a lot more. I know that Wang Hedi is a good guy and he himself is making effort to highlight everyone’s contributions that get left out by the editing team and causes fans to criticize. The point of variety shows is 1) to entertain 2) It is also used to build your public persona. Wang Hedi shines in variety shows and uses it to his advantage. Anyway what I am complaining about is fans/haters who minimize everyone else’s contributions and editing, not Wang Hedi himself. As for the other stuff, I do think that actors and actresses use variety shows to shape their public personas. I think that Wang Hedi does it all the time. It’s just the nature of the job, I’m not insulting him by saying that.

Agree with you 100%! you should see the comments of WHD fans against the other cast especially SY on Chinese social media and well basically fans of his or his CP with Bailu who don’t Like her. They are saying she is lazy and leaving all the work for WHD to do. Also saying this is a favor to Mango and Huang Xiaoming to help SY’s career. I mean if anything, WHD is helping himself. This is another variety show to build his amazing guy persona who is now growing into a mature leader. Don’t get me wrong, I like WHD a lot, but I feel like Dear Inn would be better if they focused on the ensemble struggling together instead of editing it like WHD is doing all the work, struggling alone. The first day theywere there, he showed up late and everyone came together to get things organized as much as they could before he got there. A lot of the problems at the beginning was actually due to poor planning and organizing on WHD’s part as leader. But that really can’t be helped because he has such a busy schedule and I guess thatstruggle is part of the story line so you can’t really prepare much.

it’s not a new concept. This is actually a reboot of a variety show from 8 years ago. Many of the variety shows on mango follow this format and many people like them. They’re pretty popular. Maybe you just like faster paced, competitive shows like Keep Running.

This is a Chinese variety show. You rated it lower because it’s not a drama when it was not supposed to be. Anyways, only 1 of 12 episodes have aired. It is about Dylan coming back and running an Inn because 8 years ago, Shen Yue and Dylan went on a variety show as workers for an Inn. 8 years later, Dylan is now the boss and Shen Yue along with a few others work for him. They will have a lot of their friends coming to visit throughout the season. I don’t know where you are from but its similar to a reality show. Hopefully, you stick around and watch it all tthe way through and enjoy it!

I agree. The casting for both leads could have been better in terms of what suits the story itself. But at the end of the day this isn’t just art, it’s a business. They chose popular traffic stars. Besides that, I think they couldn’t make this drama without someone like Dylan pulling investors. So for him to pull investors, he needs top billing. No one’s investing in an S+ drama if it’s Meng Ziyi that’s top billing because that means it’s success rests on her and she hasn’t proven that she can do that yet. I think I commented before somewhere here, but the only cdrama traffic actresses that can pull that kind of investment and be top billing is Bai Lu and Zhao Lusi. But Bai Lu has said she will not be taking on as many idol dramas. So that leaves Lusi.

No one is saying she can’t act. most of the things you wrote probably applies to almost all the actresses because c-ent is a cut throat industry. They’re all working hard, sacrificing and enduring criticism. The problem is that for this particular role, if they had to rewrite it so she can fit into it that’s the problem. Now that it has been rewritten to fit her, will she do a good job? Probably. Are fans of the novel disappointed? 100% they are. Becaue now this drama is only loosely based on their beloved story. You’re clearly a Meng Ziyi fan and support her, well there are people who are fans of this novel that are disappointed because as written in the story, the main character is younger and a main plot point is she was reborn. If rumors are true they did away with the plot AND obviously aged up the character. Its not Meng Ziyi’s fault, its the producers or whoever owns the rights to this dra. At the end of the day, It is what it is. Now the pressure for this drama to be successful is high and if it doesn’t do well, it could really hurt Meng Ziyi’s career.

well…they are the the ones this variety show is built around…since they did the Inn 2 together 8 years ago. It can’t be helped if their fans are excited. But I am sure when we watch the actual show the will feature all the cast.

Thats why they rewrote the whole script. I read they removed the rebirth plot and aged up the FL. I know MZ fans say we’re just hating on her, but it’s not. If they have to rewrite the script to fit an actress instead of the actress fitting it that is very telling. I understand why the cast Wang Hedi. They literally couldn’t get this project off the ground without a huge traffic star like him to draw investors.

It is because DW is the one that could draw investors to the project. I don’t think MZY can carry an S+ production. The only actress that can, under 30, is probably Zhao Lusi. I personally don’t have a good feeling about this project. I read somewhere they had to change the story a lot, not just for Dylan, but also MZY because for some reason they were set on her. I heard rumors they got rid of the rebirth plot because people were saying MZY has done too many of those, plus she looks more mature for the role as it is originally written.
