You will be disappointed with the potential the novel had, guess if someone really wanna actually adapt the real novel. It had more battle scenes within just a few chapters than the whole drama has. Like this one leans more towards the consequences and entangled fates due to the usurping of a throne, rather than the interesting dynamics and conflicts of various countries.

They should have kept MXY's character same as novel Idk but kinda looks disappointing to me with upcoming eps, like atleast in the novel they were literally one mind in two bodies and a very harmonious couple, like nothing and nobody can separate them. The divorce arc is the only change I hate.

No, I mean the pool incident was definitely her plan but Ye Ying was involved at the last minute. She anyways wanted to bring out the truth of the skull and even the thing with Jingli before in the day might be even part of her calculations but they were impromptu added.

I just kind of find it fishy because, given Ye Li's past schemes and her track record of the way she goes after revenge and justice, the whole incident involving grandma might be her setup. Yeah the pool incident was improvised at the last moment finding that very opportunity through her sister at the end and there are chances that she might have already sniffed out that old lady's sins and just forced things to reveal themselves in this way. Given how nonchalant she acted the next morning after the past night's tragedy, though she is long used to absorbing grief in a unique way, still it felt there might be her hand in the final outcome. Like I'm not convinced that she will let a direct sinner go away so easily. The fact that it involves the affairs of the family elders and being a young member she can't straight away upfront deal with it, instead can only go roundabout keeping herself disguised and unscathed all the time.

Even in the novel I had imagined a different version of Jingli and before it aired, while looking at the cast & credits back then, he never convinced me as Jingli either.

Novel is different from the drama, the adaptation is less an adaptation and leaning more towards an original story. So, everyone can just speculate, form theories from the released episodes and get surprised at the end of the day by the reveals as anyone else, whether they have read the novel or not.

I really pity her atp, like it is becoming clearer than ever that she survived alone for years. It was shown that Li Feibei came down the mountain three years ago, so within this time, every other person seems to have died and only she stayed there alone traumatized. And just to cope with it all, started hallucinating things and was hit with different personalities. She was totally alone and just to survive that misery, a very twisted, ruthless scheming main personality was born out of it. Nothing was her fault before but whatever she does now reflects her past baggage.

The novel had more men liking her these were same there as well. And there is no harem here even ml will have other women liking him.

Is she also having multi personality disorder or what? I knew something was wrong about Master Zhu whenever she used to mention him, it felt very weird. So it is her alternate personality!?

When did they confess, wait for upcoming eps. It's a dream sequence, this is just half way, confession happens later not now.

The only reason is that this series has a plot to tell and limited episodes with so much going on its hardly enough to summarize everything, the whole anthology has 36 episodes the amount invested in it is more than any gl did so far, so they stick with this type of love story that only the point is every cousin meet some girl A, B, C, D and find love in them.

Idk but I'm kinda missing Ye Li's friends hope they also keep them in the drama.

Again this needs to be reminded that DNA proof comes as next step after the princess is given a chance to appear in front of her royal envoy which is directly controlled by the antagonists, the no. of traitors are still unknown, they can get ambushed at any second so saving life is more important then directly contacting the most trustable top level aka her king father than recklessly appearing infront of her royal envoy/ Thai representatives as royal impersonation is involved so there are more chances of getting assassinated if went blindly.

Honestly yes initially even I was kinda disappointed with the title change but after watching the trailer which looks absolutely in a different direction than the novel so now I feel that this change is related to the storyline itself. But yeah why the cdramas English names are always related to flower.

Her father is into real estate and her mother is some hotel heiress. She is loaded, being cop is just a side hustle, also she always admired her Police father it's just she is a bit of a stubborn and likes doing things on her own that's why she failed to climb up on ranks dismissing her father's advice.

I think its from the fact that they need to contact the other side [as in her Royal family members] because like from the viewers perspective they have already shown the flaws of the perpetrators but from the perspective of protagonists who are on the run for their life they are unsure about the strength and length of their reach or influence of a possible coup so according to them the best option is hide and save your life. Also if DNA test that can be easily done then this story wouldn't exist.

Did they develop a whole new script!? It has like 40 episodes because the prequel of Novoland had chapters barely countable by both hands, the last released trailer looked dope, just come already.

The fl character in the novel is too annoying, they better change it like her whole persona was built on being a bratty spoiled rich kid who just gets her way now with her richer husband's support. Though this is another Rich x Rich plot like SOM but the plot and the material is typical of those alpha domineering CEO type with no depth in story substance.
