It had so much potential. But since I'm more used to the found family and coming of age tropes in cdramas (which are usually developed perfectly) so this one gave me a meh feeling. it's like they dumped everything together from episode 6 and started including the cliche storylines every kdrama have but with different twists. The mother-daughter dynamic with SJH was unnecessary, the revenge storyline was unnecessary too, the whole Miss Korea rivals was worse, the love triangle was... I don't understand how I survived all that. I just loved the girls-girls storyline which is the only reason I stayed and watched everything.
They're good actors and the chemistry is fire, they really delivered. But the storyline overall is ππ½ and their romance was just dry, they tried to include yearning and βI'd burn the world for youβ trope when she was arrested but it didn't even help. She knows too much for my liking as well, and she remembered everything in history? (They fictionalized it yes) but it because so annoyingly boring. The food flying over the background was overrated, and the villains were definitely not giving. He was a tyrant but he suddenly turned into a softie from the first episode (Red flags should be red flags, not washed up red flags) or else they shouldn't make it as an important factor in the storyline. Did they think him becoming insane for that short period of time near the end make him a tyrant?
This story was an overall 3/10 for me. I had high expectations and it left me with disappointment.
So apparently XingQiu fanbase pushed for their bouquet to be there since it cost a lot and now the other fandom…
They always loud on social media but when it comes to supporting JiangLi, they drag their feet. They're crying that the venue is full of XingQiu flowers and how they should have shared the ideas with JL fanbases. See? The double standard. They hate on Xingqiu but want Xingqiubeis to support their faves.
Desire was Nongjian first project. Even though it was disappointing in some aspects, they breath life into these characters and I'm glad we've experienced this beautiful journey of four children. Being inexperienced, even if you do your homework, you're bound to make a some of mistakes because you're still learning. I's very clear that they're all still babies in this entertainment industry and they're all learning together, the best way to support D4 is to be patient and supportive, we can criticize the story, but let's not draw hate towards the actors.
D4 was not very popular, but now they received an exposure they deserve and I'm sure Nongjian sisters will work extra hard as well to give them the best in their next projects. They're already laid their foundation with Desire, I'm sure they'll come to be good in the future. The boys have signed a three year contract, let's support them the best way we can.
Down voting this series will never give your favorite CP a lot of screentime. You're just sabotaging them and their hard work which you think so little of btw.πͺ
to be fair his full story is more complex than what they showed
I've read the novel and yes I emphasize with him but he's still my least favorite out of the four. (And I'm talking about the characters not the actors.ππ)
I think they did it on purpose. If they wanted to give us a good ending for Gao Tu and Weng Lang they would have.…
You went out of lane. This is how the characters were written, it wasn't about the creators not wanting the 2nd characters to be popular. My chat is that they could have left some scenes to include more important scenes.π
We didn't need 24 episode for the series to be wrapped up nicely. They've just added unnecessary things that took up a lot of time.
Wenlang's mating disorder outburst was exaggerated yet it didn't give out much. The club scene with Shaoyou's friends was unnecessary, the back and fourth between Shaoyou's father and Hua Yong could have been done differently, the scene with Gao Tu, Gao Tu's father and Wenlang was unnecessary because they just went there for Wenlang to spout more nonsense. If all of these were cut off, we could have gotten a much better ending but it feels like there were a lot of things NJ just didn't want to let go of.
There are just too many cuts. I was satisfied by the main leads cause they're my favorite so that's why it became a good ending to me even though I was disappointed in some scenes.

Either way, I'm so in love with the family of three. Being parents look good on HuaSheng.β₯οΈβ₯οΈ
It's going too fast. Like, slow down??π€π€π€
