This did not need to be 40 episodes
This started out good and then the latter half (save for episodes 32-34) was just disappointing. Some episodes and scenes felt like padding and I thought did not move the plot along but rather just dragged. I really only finished it for Cheng Lei. I did like their chemistry and Ye Li’s story really broke my heart.
