I tried to check but there are a lot of hate comments about ZYR so I closed.
Twitter C-drama fans seem to only love the same 5–6 actors. For me, GTG was a wasted potential, and both lead actors didn't do justice to their characters. Some actors are considered C-drama fandom darlings on Twitter, so they rarely get criticized. I’m even afraid to share my opinions because I might be labeled a hater.
I don't understand the hate comments about Cdl's acting. My main issue is Zhou Yiran. It feels like he's trying too hard to look cool, but instead of giving off cool vibes, his scenes give me secondhand embarrassment. I thought he was good in The Twelve Letters, but he's definitely not suited for costume dramas, in my opinion. Sorry. I am really not a hater. I already scared people going to attack me over this opinion.
it’s honestly crazy to see people criticizing fl for crying over a friend. he was yan yun’s most loyal ally, both politically and personally, and he would never have betrayed him. he saved fl countless times, and their bond clearly meant a lot. his character development was one of the best parts of the drama. he was so young, burdened with carrying his family’s honor after losing all the men in his family, all while being sick himself. that kind of pressure shapes a person.
yes, he made mistakes, but he learned from them and grew. that’s what makes his character human and compelling. not everything has to be seen in such a black and white way. emotions can be complex. sometimes the death of a friend can hurt even more deeply than people expect, and crying can simply be an expression of genuine grief, respect, and loss.
it’s honestly sad that some viewers reduce a nuanced scene like this to something so shallow. a drama like this is meant to show emotional depth, not simple right or wrong.
