CASTING NEWS ---- Go Youn Jung has been confirmed to star alongside Lee Byung Hun in the upcoming blockbuster film Nambeol, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
Set in the early Joseon era, Nambeol is a hard-boiled martial arts action film about a group of warriors who travel to Tsushima Island to rescue captives kidnapped by Japanese pirates.
Although details of Go Youn Jung's role remain under wraps, the film is expected to showcase a completely new side of her acting. Directed by acclaimed cinematographer Lee Mo Gae in his feature directorial debut, Nambeol is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to begin filming in the second half of 2026.

The funds will be used to provide equipment for active-duty firefighters and to support programs that help prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The donation was prompted by the filming of the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) variety show "The Secret Friends Club." During the shoot, Go visited a fire station and saw firsthand the working conditions and workflow of frontline personnel.
Her agency explained, "After the filming, she recognized the need for more support in this area, and decided to donate based on the sense of responsibility and gratitude she felt toward the firefighters on site."

Beneath his seemingly bright and carefree exterior lies a wounded, vulnerable face.
