It's a fantasy series and it takes the rituals very seriously, it was based on a lot of studies and hardwork, not only from the scriptwriter but also the whole production team and the cast. If you don't understand about this culture and religion, then don't come here saying that it's only shouting and exorcising, that is very offensive. I think you've never watched an actual good production and that's why your view is so shallow on this matter. Besides, oscars are for movies not series, and I'm pretty sure WU will be nominated to a whole bunch of Asian awards at the end of the year. Since you don't understand about how things work, I'll explain: awards are not given before a series airs, it is given at the end of the year, to the series that were successful throughout it. Giving the acting and the cast a 1.0 rating is already a joke in itself, because the two lead actors are widely recognized as two of the best actors of their generation in Thailand, in addition to the rest of the cast doing an incredible job — like Godji, Krist, Singha, the boys from Pete’s gang, Sea in the first episode, and Phuwin. The soundtrack is performed by a trio of extremely talented and experienced singers who unfortunately receive very little recognition in the industry precisely because they are feminine and don’t fit the standard mold. On top of that, the sound design done in post-production has been excellent, and there’s been so much care put into the musical direction and the use of instruments for the rituals. They even cast Singha as the percussionist because she is already a drummer and studied hard to be able to play the ritual drum instrument herself. So, honestly, if you watch series just to see men making out, then yes this is definitely not for you. However, if you are looking to know more about the culture of the place where your content comes from, then you should give it another try.
