A solid CBL
Great plot, however I do prefer the pacing and storytelling in Mo Dao Zu Shi (the animated ver) better. The slow burn is really giving, especially with the lack of outright romantic relationship.
I also felt that WWX's character was more dense in The Untamed, but in MDZS, he's smarter, brilliant, charming, aloof, and so on. And from there, there's the stark difference when he transitions into a person who does unspeakable crimes. That way, the contrast makes his character development and the overall plot in MDZS easier to understand.
Anyhow, the drama is still very much worth watching. You definitely need to watch it for the complete BL experience!
