So much Sexual Tension!

Seriously! There is more sexual tension in this one episode than I have seen in whole dramas. Jang Ki-young is a MASTER at seduction and he knows all the right buttons to push. I should have known this would be good after watching that incredible kiss from My Roommate is a Gumiho, and he does NOT disappoint. I can’t wait for the next episode to come out and see where this story goes. If this ends up a “Lovers to friends” series where the tension dies out and the best kiss was in the first episode it will be a tragedy!

Such rich storylines and excellent casting

This is one of the best dramas I have started in a while. I can see why it will take 50 episodes because all of the characters have a rich backstory and a depth that you don’t always find. Almost all of the side characters are just as compelling as the main leads and I rarely find myself wanting to fast forward. The actors are also amazing, especially the ML and the oldest brother- both of them have already made me cry. The family relationships are complex and realistic and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. I don’t know what other people don’t see in this drama but it is turning out to be one of my favorites.

Such genuine emotion

This drama is SO GOOD! Especially the ML is raw and honest and not afraid to show emotion. The characters are well developed, they deal with real life challenges and when they make a decision you think “that’s exactly what I would have done.” It explores themes of belonging and self worth and what it means to pursue a dream or what is means to be valuable. Honestly, it is worth it just to watch Nam Joo Hyuk cry - he is amazing ❤️. And the kissing scenes do not disappoint. I am actually not done yet and I am not 💯 sure who the male lead is- they keep us guessing until the end better than any drama I have seen.

Heartbreaking but SO GOOD!

Literally, this is one of the best Korean dramas I’ve ever seen. The soundtrack is hypnotic, and the storyline is completely heartbreaking. You are carried away by the characters till the very end, and I have never ugly, cried so hard at any drama. I cannot recommend it enough, but I don’t know if I could ever go through it twice. Other than the Red Sleeves, this is the best Korean drama I have watched. I don’t know if it won any awards the year it aired, but it absolutely should have because it was a masterpiece.
