I’ve been meaning to watch this. after discovering Fuaiz from the first episode of Payback yesterday and seeing what an amazing actor he is, I decided to watch it right away!
just from the opening shot alone, I can tell I’m gonna love this!
after the continued disappointment Jaewook’s dramas have been since Alchemy of Souls (at least to me) I’m scared to even start watching this🥲 (I’m talking about his dramas as the main role, not guest or cameos)
Mr. Queen is a must if you’re looking for a similar one in the historical+comedy aspect!
I saw someone mentioned Alchemy of Souls ealier. I wouldn’t exactly call that similar vibes, but that’s definitely an amazing drama that you should try.
PS. I noticed you’ve watched a few BLs. not sure if you still watch them or fell out of the loop, but if you need any recs do lmk🥰

for sure! it has close to 150k watchers on mdl alone ^_^ both Shin Haesun and Kim Junghyun were amazing in there. you should definitely give it a try!💕
can I just say how amazed I am at Min's acting as Sun? 🥹
i didn't realize this until way after i finished watching ep1, but I've known him since 2023 when he participated as a kpop trainee in Boys Planet (a kpop survival show). i was in awe all over again when i realized that!
aside from being such an amazing actor, he's also very good at dancing and singing! I'm so happy to find out that he's pursuing acting now🥹
this had the potential to be so good, but unfortunately the execution was a gigantic mess.
I really liked seeing JoongDunk in the police roles, it suited them sooo well. but the writing and direction did them dirty. there were SO many plot holes. unfortunately, the mystery wasn’t very mysterious, and i saw the twist coming from miles away.
the constant shift between romance and crime was very jarring. a forensic doctor hitting on the police inspector at the literal murder scene, a few feet away from the dead body? the incessant hitting on Kamin in the midst of talking about how the victims died was neither funny nor cute🥲
this makes me sad, because the premise was so interesting and promising, but they decided to f it up with sloppy writing and direction. I hope the next project JoongDunk do has a better script and direction 😩

I’m sorry but I felt zero sadness with her departure 🥲 she will NOT be missed!
