kdramas have been disappointing me a lot lately. but with Yumi’s Cells Season 3, for the first time in a long time, I was able to watch a kdrama without being disappointed in a single thing. there was not one boring or disappointing moment, it was lovely from beginning to end.
I know a lot of people had their reservations with the pacing and/or how rushed or unnatural it felt for them to fall in love with each other so fast. but to me, it was oerfect. we see that Soon Rok has basically liked her from the very beginning, but he didn’t want a workplace relationship and was trying to draw the line. as for Yumi, even though it felt like she went from hating him to liking him so fast, it didn’t feel unnatural to me. sometimes all it takes is one simple moment for you to fall for someone.
Go Eun as Yumi was as amazing as ever. Yumi finding no joy or excitement in anything was so relatable. her cells coming back to life from Soon Rok’s presence from just how much he was pissing her off was so entertaining to watch😂
Soon Rok’s ability to compartmentalize his work life and private life was so impressive. his robotic expressions and lack of social skills in the beginning was HILARIOUS. but the moment he decided to let go of his principle of not pursuing a coworker, he became a whole new person lol.
Kim Jae Won as Soon Rok was so amazing! I know a lot of people doubted his abilities when his name was announced as the cast. but he really proved why he was chosen for this role (especially with the last two episodes). the way he can switch from boyfriend Soon Rok to professional Shin PD so fast is insane! he pulls off the role of a lovesick puppy sooo well omg. i need to see him in more roles like this!
the cells of both characters were just so freaking adorable! Soon Rok’s village was so entertaining to watch. the utter chaos when Soon Rok confessed lmao. Yumi’s naughty cell writing “noona” with her butt and Soon Rok’s SuperMan-like naughty cell appearing from space took me out 🤣 i could watch a whole another season starring the cells alone lol.
my only problem with this season was…why so short? we deserved to see AT LEAST two more episodes of Yumi and Soon Rok, since this is literally the last season and the end of Yumi’s story. sigh. aside from that, this was a perfect wrap up to the show!
Yumi and her cells, you will be missed!
PS. I initially gave this a 9 while it was ongoing, but decided to make it a 9.5 after watching the final 2 episodes! no other kdrama has made me feel this good in a long time🥹

ABSOLUTE GEM!
first of all, if you were avoiding this drama because of a potential teacher-student relationship like I was initially, there isn’t one. I repeat,THERE IS NO TEACHER-STUDENT ROMANCE IN HERE!!
so please go ahead and give this a watch, because you’re missing out on this absolute gem! I can’t remember the last time a kdrama made me laugh this much.
I mainly started watching this for Cha Hak Nyeon (N from VIXX) and Jaehyun from (N.Flying). I went in with zero expectations, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how entertaining it is! now that the drama has finished airing, i will go ahead and tag this as my one of my most favorite kdrama of 2026 so far. from the beginning till the end this stayed entertaining. although I do wish the focus stayed on comedy throughout the second half of the drama as well.
so, this is the story of a regular high school student who writes web novels. when a group of 4 very handsome teachers join the school, she gets hit by inspiration to write a BL novel about them. she uses her real life scenarios and applies them into the story. and it’s freaking HILARIOUS. every single scene she imagines is just so funny. i lost count of how many times it made me laugh out loud😂
I love the dynamics between the teachers and the students. the sports teacher is the most encouraging and sweetest teacher ever! the literature teacher is also so sweet. the Japanese language teacher is cheeky and always joking with the students. meanwhile, the math teacher, the nerdiest and strictest - even though he’s always beefing with his students (especially Euiju) he has the students’ best interest at heart.
Euiju is such an entertaining character to watch! I know a lot of people are bothered by her hairstyle. tbh, i was too when i first watched the trailer. but once i started watching the drama, it didn’t even bother me as much. if anything, it added to her charm and amplified the goofiness of her character.
can i just say how incredibly handsome N (maths teacher) looks in this drama? 😍 this made me fall in love with him all over again🥹
also, the fact that his name is “Ga Woo Su”, which is a wordplay on the famous mathematician Gauss, this is just brilliant 😂 as a university student currently majoring in math, this just makes me appreciate this even more🤣 another wordplay is the FL’s best friend’s name : Choi Go Ya, which in hangeul is “최고야“ which basically means “the best"😂 I’m not sure if this was intentional or a coincidence, but my guess would be the former lol.
with how disappointing kdramas have been for me lately, this was such a breath of fresh air. for the first time in ages, i was genuinely excited for an ongoing kdrama, eagerly waiting for every Friday to come so that I can watch the episodes asap. my Fridays were full of excitement and laughter because of them! now that it’s over, I will miss them dearly🥹
if you’re looking for a light hearted, funny and enjoyable drama, please give this a shot! you will not be disappointed 💕

Be Careful What You Wish For!
this was an interesting watch!I feel like the drama had a killer concept (pun intended 🤣) and had the potential to be amazing, but it couldn’t really live up to its potential. it started off really strong, but somehow fell flat towards the middle/end.
I liked the underlying message of the drama, “your wishes have consequences, no matter how stupid or insignificant they may seem”. the mix of shamanism with modern technology was a great idea.
the acting was incredible. unfortunately, the same can’t be said about the characters. some of the characters were so one dimensional that you couldn’t care less if they died.
there were some things i found stupid or didnt like, but I didn’t find the drama as bad as some of these reviews made it out to be. overall, I think it was an interesting drama to binge on a Saturday night. I will probably be tuning in if they make a second season!

it was so good, until it wasn’t
this was so good! until it decided to be a stupid mess towards the end.the prmeise was so interesting : a bunch of unexplained ritualistic murders, a person who can see ghosts and a police inspector who does not believe in ghosts.
I love mystery thrillers and serial killer stories. I love also a horror story, when it's done right. however, I often find horror stories not scary enough and they end up being lame to me. so, I had my reservations with this drama being the lame kinda horror. thankfully, that wasn't the case.
the production quality was so much better than I expected, and the horror part was done so well! the make up and special effects were pretty realistic and did not feel cringeworthy. there were quite a few jumpscares that were done well. the mystery was done so well too. up until the revelation, I personally had no idea who the killer might be.
I was so hooked from the beginning. everything was going SO well. until that revelation. it's like the moment they found out who the killer is, they all decided to be collectively stupid.
let me rant, because the last two episodes left me SO mad. yall literally know the identity of the killer, yall literally know who the next victims are gonna be, you literally have so much necessary info, yet you just decide to be a bunch of idiots and let things unfold this way? like wtf??
I understand that we needed to reach a ritual scene in the finale for the sake of the dramatics and whatnot. but did it really have to be done so stupidly? they could've just kept everyone clueless about the killer until the end, would've made this a bit more believable and much less stupid.
overall, this just makes me sad. because i was loving it it so much. it started off as an 8.5 for me, and then i was considering giving it a 9.0. but then it ended up taking such a disappointing turn.
the only reason why i didn’t rate it even lower is because i really liked the first 10 episodes and the production quality.
on a positive note, PoohPavel's visual chemistry was fire! Pooh is literally TeeTee's twin! and Pavel is so damn hot omg😭
acting wise, Pooh's acting didn't feel the best. Pavel's acting throughout the show felt pretty solid, but it could've been better in some scenes.
fun fact, this was my first time seeing these actors (I'm very new to Thai BLs). I knew nothing about them, except that the ship name is PoohPavel. once I started watching, I automatically assumed :
hella muscular, police inspector, even has tattos = Pooh
skinnier, damsel in distress, scared of ghosts = Pavel
it took me reaching ep6 to realize my mistake 😂😂
I will most likely not be watching Pitbabe, but I'll be looking forward to any future projects they have💕
PS. that opening theme song was so beautiful 🥹

wasted potential
I wish I liked this as much as most people did. and in the beginning I really was liking it. unfortunately it ended with so much disappointment.I loved the premise, the time travel and revenge plot. It had the potential to do so well, and started off so strong, but it ended up falling very flat.
Pond’s acting was amazing! I’ve only seen him in Fourever You before this, and in that drama he basically had 2.5 expressions the whole time lol. this drama made me realize that it was more of an issue with the direction, and not his acting skills. if I hadn’t seen him here, I wouldn’t have known just how amazing he can be when given the proper scope. this was my first time seeing Peterpan, and BOY is he handsome! the chemistry he had with Pond was FIIIIIREEEE😭 their chemistry was the only thing that kept me going tbh.
now comes the bad parts, which was a lot of things. first of all, I wish the time jump was a little bit shorter instead of 25 years. in the present times the main leads would be somewhere around 45-50 years old, since Armin couldn’t have been any younger than 20 in the years ago timeline. 25 years isn’t really an insignificant time. I’m not expecting them frail and old, but the characters looked like they hadn’t aged a single day. just brushing the hair back and putting on glasses doesn’t make anyone look 25 years older. if the time jump really had to be 25 years and no less than that, least they could’ve done is investing a little bit more on making the make up a bit more believable. it’s not that hard in this day and age.
Armin’s hairstyle at the beginning of time jump was ridiculous, and made him look like he fled from a mental asylum or something. thank God that hair was gone soon😭
the story started off so intriguing, but become increasingly stupid as the show progressed. the acting of most a lot of the side characters and the direction often ended up being lakorn-like, and it was not enjoyable in any way. the villain felt like a cartoon character throwing tantrums.
the most annoying part for me was the sound. in top of the post production dubbing that made everything they said sound so fake, the use of sound effects and bgm in every waking second almost made my ears bleed. the fact that it kept switching from overly dramatic, to comedic, to romantic, to something else constantly didn’t help either. at one point I literally had to watch it on mute for some time, it was that unbearable.
overall, this just felt like a waste of potential 💔
the only reason why I didn’t rate it lower than this is because of the main leads’ acting and chemistry. I hope we get to see Peterpan and Pond together in another series again, because it would be a shame to not utilize that chemistry again!

Love Again
I could feel the hatred and anger Yu was feeling. I could feel the pain and regret Sam was feeling. every time they cried, my heart broke into a million pieces :’( and that chemistry is literally so good! it left me wanting for a 3rd season 😭one thing I didn’t like about this season is the second couple (Shi De’s cousin and coworker). I could not care less about their story and was pretty much skipping every scene they had. i would rather have some of those screentime for our main couple, or Bing Wei and Zhe Yu.
also, i will NEVER forgive the editors for deleting the scene where they explain that the blonde woman was Shi De’s step sister. it was literally such a crucial scene, and carried so much importance to the story. if they hadn’t left out such a vital information, the reception of this season would’ve been so much better. I don’t know what made them come up with such a stupid decision of deleting that scene😭
sigh….i know it’s already been 5 years, but i will be secretly dreaming for a 3rd season🥹

a lot of people might find it boring or uninteresting. but for me it was just such a comforting thing to watch. the story was so simple, but so relatable. the aesthetics and the cinematography were so soothing to watch. I fell in love with the house, and the people living in it!
I will miss Azuma and Kuji🥹💙

had the potential to be so much more!
this has to be one of the most beautiful locations and cinematographies I've ever seen in any drama!unfortunately, the plot felt pretty disappointing. it felt very rushed and disconnected. we know very little about the character, so it's hard to feel connected to them. i really wish they made it clear how much time has passed so that we could actually understand how they fell in love. it felt like they met each other one day, and the next day they were somehow head over heels in love. the "conflict" felt pretty nonsense to me.
the actors did a pretty good job, despite the limited scope. both of them are very good looking. especially Wang Chen Rui, he is so damn handsome😩 and such a good actor too! i would love to see him in full length BLs!
the only reason why I'm not giving this a lower rating is, considering the duration of this entire show is less than an hour, overall it was still enjoyable for me because of the cinematography and the actors!

When Burnout Meets Stockholm Syndrome
this was amazing!i get that people are skipping this. I was also putting this off because I don’t really enjoy dramas with toxic relationships or love triangles. but I really appreciate BLs that go against the usual norm, which this one does. that’s what made it amazing for me.
this was such a well made drama. the direction, the cinematography, the acting, everything was amazing! especially, the acting. oh my! this is my second time watching OffGun. I watched Not Me a few days ago (I’m very new to thai bls) and absolutely loved them there. this drama made me hateeee them (the characters, not them as a person or actor). that’s how well they pulled off their roles!
this was my first time seeing Dew. and goddamn he’s HANDSOME. and a freaking giant😂😂 and his acting?? omg. i think I loved his acting even more than Off and Gun’s. the scene where he sees the painting Jira made for Ko, that scene broke my heart in a million pieces. the immense pain on his face, you could feel the pain he’s feeling!
before starting the drama, judging by the comments i could tell that there are plenty of red flags and toxicity in this drama. I was under the impression that Ko is the biggest red flag, Pheem is maybe also a red flag, and Jira is probably caught in between the red flags. boy i was so wrong😭
while Ko was indeed the biggest red flag, Jira wasn’t any greener. if anything, i hated Jira more than i hated Ko. at least Ko was a POS through and through, he never pretended to be a nice person. Jira on the other hand….sigh. at first i was somewhat feeling bad for him. but then he just started stringing Pheem along and kept hurting him over and over again. the more the drama progressed, I stopped feeling any sympathy towards any of these two, i was wishing they get doomed together. lol.
Pheem, my man :’) i see some people calling him a red flag as well. I personally wouldn’t tag him as a red flag. pitiful, maybe. but not a red flag. he got the most severe case of stockholm syndrome, first with Ko and then with Jira. I don’t blame him for not leaving Jira (even though he should’ve), because I believe he’s genuinely a good hearted person and he genuinely wanted to trust and understand Jira. I'm honestly relieved that he didn’t end up with Jira. he deserves so much better.
OffGun chemistry was explosive, as expected. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing DewGun’s chemistry was, despite this being Dew’s first time acting in a BL. this proves once again what an amazing actor he is! i would love to see him in another BL (idk if that will ever happen though:().
I might be in the minority here, but I really disliked Gun’s makeup in this drama. I can’t quite pinpoint what it was, but it just felt…off? (pun intended lmao). the hairstyle was also awful. Gun is absolutely gorgeous, but this makeup and hairstyle didn’t do justice to how beautiful he is.
one thing that I really appreciated about this drama is how they brought up the usage of AI. I thought it would have a much bigger role in the drama, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I wish they implemented it more, that would’ve made this drama so much more bold and refreshing.
I was also expecting the burnout aspect to be a bit bigger, considering the drama is called BURNOUT syndrome. they touched the topic, but never went any further. the psychological aspects of a burnout, how much it affects a person mentally and how it can change them, things like this was never explored. I really liked the idea of the burnout bar, though. also, the bartender was HOT 😂 and the drink names were super interesting.
overall, this was a great drama. but I highly doubt I’ll ever rewatch this and make myself swim through the ocean of red flags again😂

GIVE ME ANOTHER SEASON!!
THIS WAS SO GOOD!the story of a university nerd and a gangster falling in love with each other in the 1980’s lawless Hong Kong . pretty simple, but executed so beautifully.
the acting of both main leads was so good. and THE CHEMISTRY was INSANE! not to mention how incredibly good looking they both are🥹
i love how it breaks the sterotypes about the couple’s dynamics, and the cutie nerd is the one dominating the gangster here 😂
the cinematography was amazing! i loved seeing the 1980’s Hong Kong setting. and the color grading was so beautiful 🥹 the osts were so beautiful too. I fell in love with the drama from the opening song alone! and then i found out that the actor Yan Zhao sang jt himself?? that made me love him and the song even more🥹
the only thing I didn’t like was the dubbing. the super fake noises and out of sync dialogues was pretty off putting to me. but I understand that they had their limitations, and weren’t able to provide the best dubbing.
that ending though…THEY BETTER GIVE US A SEASON 2 😭😭

this was so cute! this was my first time watching any of these actors (I’m very new to Thai BL)
I liked both couples, but this made me become a fan of SurfJava🥹
Jinn and Jerome were adorable. Van was a gigantic POS😭 I almost didn’t want Farm to forgive him after all the pain he put him through 🥲 but thankfully, he learned from his mistakes and had a good redemption arc.
I hope SurfJava get to do more projects together, because their chemistry is amazing!

this is not the type of drama I usually enjoy watching. but I decided to give it a shot right after finishing ThamePo, mainly because i wanted to see more of WilliamEst.
(I’m very new to Thai BL, only started watching a few days ago!)
I also wanted to see Perth and Santa, as I’ve known of them since before i knew anything about Thai BLs. so i wanted to see what they're actually like. even though this drama doesn't have much of them.
I’m not a fan of over the top borderline cringe kinda comedy. which, tbh, me and thee is😂 the first episode was kind of unbearable, not gonna lie. the stupid sound effects made me cringe so hard, I almost wanted to drop the drama then and there 😭 but i decided to watch at least one more episode and give it a real chance.
slowly i was somehow dragged into the world of Khun Thee😂 somehow they left me entertained, and i ended up laughing out loud a few times at the utter ridiculousness everything 😂

hit close to home!
watched this as a new Thai BL watcher, fell in love with LYKN!💙as a huge kpop stan who recently had a member leave from one of her ult groups (Heeseung leaving Enhypen), this hit very close to home! this really shows the reality of the pop industry, and how little we as fans know about what goes on behind the scenes. I love how this drama tackles with the issues of members being forced to leave, some members being favored over others, idols being unable to date, etc..all very realistic issues!
I feel like this drama had the potential to be so much better, but the execution didn’t quite meet that potential. my favorite part was William and Est’s chemistry. I love how effortlessly they fell in love with each other. them “dropping each other off” on a loop was the cutest thing ever😂
the pacing was generally good, but the last few episodes felt a bit dragging. while i loved seeing the MARS dynamics, i also wish we got to see a little bit more of ThamePo, as the drama is literally called that.
best part about watching this was discovering LYKN! I knew of their existence, and I knew Lego, even before i knew much about the thai entertainment industry. but before watching this drama, i had no idea that the entire group was in this drama. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out all these actors were idols, and that MARS is basically LYKN!!
overall, this was a good watch! I will be looking forward to any work William or Est have in the future 💕
😅

We Best Love : I’m in Love With Them!
this was SO BEAUTIFUL!this was my first time watching a Taiwanese drama, and I loved everything about it!
(except the special episode, but I won’t talk about it here :3)
I’ve actually had this drama on my watchlist for a long time, but I was skeptical about watching it, because I saw the ending and didn’t wanna get into something that ends that way. it was only now that I realized that the ending i saw was actually the special episode, and the season itself had a different ending.
the story is very simple - two people with their unrequited love. but what makes it brilliant is the execution. the cinematography was beautiful. acting of both main leads was so good. their chemistry together together was amazing! not to mention, they’re incredibly handsome. especially Yu, he’s so damn hot!!
i love how effortlessly Yu fell in love with Shi De. even though the episodes are short and there are only 6 episodes, it didn’t feel rushed. i do wish there were more episodes though, i needed to see more of their chemistry as university students 🥹
We Best Love, I’m now in love with the story of Yu and Shi De! this is definitely going to my list of most favorite BLs💕

what if you wished upon a shooting star?
ever thought about what would happen if you made a wish upon a shooting star, and it actually came true?i found the entire concept of wishing upon a shooting star and having it come true very intriguing. the fact that he wished for it, and it really came true, and now it’s making him realize that it was a mistake to wish for something like that. i love the underlying message : be careful what you wish for!
the cinematography is so mesmerizing. all the blue everywhere just makes me feel so warm💙 the island and its people are just so lovable. they are like one big family!
the actors are doing an amazing job. especially the one playing Zhongxing. and the actors playing their younger selves?? they are so good omg! i love that they actually casted teenagers to play those roles, instead of making the same actors play their younger selves pretending to be high schoolers.
the main couple have so much chemistry! we could feel all the love and regret, and their years of unresolved feelings. the scene of them getting together was so beautifully done. the lighting, the cinematography, the absolutely beautiful ost in the background…everything was just so beautiful. it has to be one of the bests I’ve ever seen in a BL!
the second couple is also amazing! I often find second couples annoying or unnecessary, but here I loved them just as much as the first couple. although I’m not a fan of “I’m clearly in love with you, but I’ll keep denying that no matter how much you try to win me over” trope initially , they really won my heart afterwards. i also just found out that the actor playing Hama is half Japanese! that makes me appreciate this cast even more ^_^
I have to mention the actors playing their younger selves once again. despite being so young, they were so good! they had such amazing chemistry as well. I would love to see them together in a BL when they grow older🥹
I was watching this drama every week while it was ongoing. watching it end made me somewhat emotional, i kinda grew attached to the beautiful island and its amazing people🥹💙
overall this was just so beautiful and soothing to watch. one of my most fav bls of this year so far!
