SOKP didn’t have kisses until the last few episodes - made up for it though!
When I discussed this with a friend she was so shocked. The tension is there the whole time, but neither of them wants to acknowledge it... by the time we get to the last episodes, it just explodes. But if you're not specifically waiting for kisses, you won't notice the extremely slow burn

Have you watched Love Like The Galaxy? The FL was a transmigrator in the novel, she was a mechanical engineer student. This part is not included in the drama, but she does "invent" all sorts of mechanisms to improve existing processes.
I also have problem with how romance is depicted in this drama. Honestly, I don't like this cinderella trope with…
The marriage isn't valid since #1. They agreed from the start it was a fake marriage that was not consummated and #2. He used a false name, so the marriage contract was void regardless of point #1. The ML knew this from the start, as he knows the laws.
The reason he accepted to "get married" is because he was severly injured with nowhere to hide, someone (his uncle most likely) plotted to kill him and almost succeeded, so he was extremely vulnerable. Lying low while recovering and investigating secretly suited him just fine.
He also wasn't born into nobility, he became a marquis due to his acts of bravery on the battlefield. He also wanted to help the girl who saved his life and doing so would have cost him nothing.

CPR might have existed since antiquity, but I highly doubt it would have involved chest compressions with the specific hands position alternating with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. The character is a transmigrator in the novel as well, and the screenwriter added several hints about this - the panda drawing that looks modern, the use of logos, cpr and cavities would not have been knowledge accessible to a common born girl that was sold into servitude.
damnnnnn what a smart boy Bao Er !!! only 6 wtffff 😬
His mother is most likely a transmigrator since she knows CPR and that sweets cause cavities, so she probably taught him how to survive and ask for help in case they have to run away and they get separated.
the subs... are not that good 🙄 sometimes I'm like: They definitely didn't say this lol
Like Bao'er's photographic memory. I checked weTV and iQiyi and both translations were the same. People who speak mandarin said the meaning was the same and the original phrase was something like "see once, remember always". However, the modern expressions pull you out of the historical setting and that sucks.
