Two kinds of viewers are really infuriating😭 One is those who can’t tell the difference between their favorite…
The characters need to be flawed in order for the story to be engaging and their actions (mistakes or not) need to have consequences. Otherwise everyone would complain that the leads are Mary Sues with plot armour.
The screenwriter was great at building up characters and storyline that I agree with others needing more that…
They could have done something like the Peony drama did last year - sorry the title eludes me But then again, maybe the pacing would have suffered and the story would have dragged.
It's because we are not accustomed and exposed very much to other cultures.
Roman Centurion helmets are ridiculous too, so are tricorn hats worn in the 18th century in Europe and many others. But due to repeated exposure in our media, they were "normalised" and became "acceptable" to western viewers.
I'm trying so hard to keep from watching this until it ends so i can binge the whole thing but i keep finding…
OMG you are going to enjoy this so much! My favourite is also LLTG and love the screenwriter.
I have started reading the novel Chasing Jade and I can see she did great job with the adaptation. The script is very well written, the story well paced. She knows what elements to remove from the novel and what elements to add to make the story work as a drama and be faithful to the intentions of the novel at the same time.
And when you add the well rounded characters, whether they are main/supporting leads or ensemble, you get a compelling story about people you will never forget.
They have lots of promo videos on rednote. More than the main couple.
Both. We have videos from the actors doing tiktok dances, repeating iconic scenes from the drama, playing games with the little boy, interviews together etc. They seem to be online every day with new content to promote the drama and people love them in the comments.
Where to watch?? I can't find any good free website 😭
You don't have netflix? If you create a profile set up in English, you should be able to see a lot of cdramas with subtitles in English that haven't been translated into other languages yet.

There is a "The Glory" (2025) with Chen Duling, and a "Glory" (2025) with Hou Minghao. First one has a sad ending, the latter has a happy ending. Both cdramas.

Glory has a happy ending though (what were they thinking when they gave almost identical names to 2 dramas coming out the same year) I learned a lot about tea from this cdrama

And there are lots of fan made edits too.
