ML is just pathetic at this point. The pure definition of "All Bark And No Bite". Dude still hasn't learnt…
Couldn’t agree more. The FL is carrying the entire story while the ML contributes nothing but self pity. Every time he’s on screen it’s the same thing whining, hesitating, and making everything about his feelings. Her revenge is literally the reason she’s still standing after losing everything, yet he somehow expects his romance to outweigh all of that. The writers turned him into a grown man with no backbone and called it love
Why do C-dramas these days keep giving us male leads who are so unbelievably down bad for the female leads that they completely lose all sense of boundaries? Why do they always have to force their feelings onto her, chase her relentlessly, or act like their love is enough of a reason to ignore what she wants? I understand the appeal of a devoted male lead, but there is a huge difference between someone who deeply loves and protects the person they care about and someone who refuses to accept that the other person may not feel the same way.
I wish more dramas would show a romance where the attraction and feelings grow naturally between both characters. I want to see a male lead who falls for her but also respects her choices, gives her space, and waits until she is ready to choose him too. Love should not feel like one person constantly pursuing while the other person is being convinced or pressured into having feelings. The most satisfying romances are the ones where both characters are equally invested, where they are both completely down bad for each other, and where the chemistry, longing, and affection come from both sides.
Give me a love story where the female lead is just as crazy about him as he is about her. Give me a relationship where they both miss each other, fight for each other, and choose each other without one person having to force their way into the other’s heart. A male lead being devoted is attractive, but it becomes so much better when his devotion is returned. I want the kind of romance where you can clearly see that they are each other’s first choice, not one where the male lead is obsessed while the female lead spends half the story trying to escape him.
The best romances are not about one person chasing until the other finally gives in. They are about two people slowly falling, understanding each other, respecting each other, and reaching the point where they are both equally hopelessly in love. That is the kind of “down bad” energy I want to see
