Past 100 odd years we had such a peaceful time that unless you are in war torn countries or some countries that treat women less than an animal ..most have grown up with so much security that they cannot imagine horror that awaits in such scenarios.. i was reading debate in indian twitter recently... where women apparently immolated themselves because invading armies coming from Afghanistan and beyond were raping even dead bodies of women... and people were questioning even that..why die..why immolate themselves... when you are faced with animals who doesnt understand to live like human and subjects womens with such cruelty.. may be death was the best option...

Oh my god..it must be doubly horrible for them...since the officials must be subordinates of her grand father..and those pests were thinking of personally training pretty ladies of the family... what a horrible thing to fall into the hands of such subordinates ...

FL thinking of her adopted father and mother when her hands are soiled by coal says a lot of how much the last 6 yrs have impacted her and her adopted family made place in her heart. She treats them with so much love and
respect. Despite being an accomplished young lady from noble family, she slides into her new life without complaints ..kudos to her own family for raising such a lovely and wise child.. and her adopted parents for being worthy of her love and respect

For all people talking about them killing themselves over chastity and virtue.. firstly whats wrong with that.. if you think , thinking of virtue and chastity is wrong and survival is foremost , its your belief and you are right..so are they , they can die for what they believe in..also ....MOST IMPORTANTLY...which of the ones questioning them think living in sexual slavery serving 20 odd men daily ..and some of them who could have been lower status as themselves or their friends or acquaintances is nice...is that a life to live...living worse than animals.. WITHOUT CHOICE.... dont questions choices others (other women here) make....they make choices that they can live with or die for

Though they arent at same place she had still set a trap for FL in new place in the form of Widow Zuo.. still is still harming FL, though FL may not have known it yet.. but this gonna boomerang on madam yu when FL realises it.. and going to be counter schemes againt and revenged when the right time comes..

Madame Yu got style, larger picture ..zhe isnt petty or engage in petty schemes. She plays grand games... unlike people like Yake, Zuo or Lady Mo....

Her and Son also not united ..and am sure our FL will exploit that weakness if Madame Yu continues to harm her....also that son deserves revenged against for what he did... trying to get FL killed for his selfishness..to get what he wants , which he could have achieved in many other ways without harming her... using brains

Jealous. , Envy can be in dangerous proportions in some people.. some dont take action..and some do such terrible things out of jealousy

Fl's letter to her mother explains why she picked ML..that she views/values character and integrity of ML as high or more in comparision to Status or Power that she had been drilled since child hood as criteria to consider for marriages.. She should have said these words to ML too in addition to what ever she said to ML.. he is thinking she is consideirng this marriage as a business /trade..she isnt. . She just changed equally valuable criteria when whe picked him as her spouse.. and she was spot on..saying she loves him would have sounded fake ...

Madam Yu is making a big mistake inciting widow zuo (including offering her help!) ... FL preferred to be wife of a nobody than be a concubine in a power family , which included Madam Yu's full support.. despite that she confidently picked a nobody.. she should have stayed away fromFL instead of poking her nose into FL- Widow Zuo revenge plot

My experience, reading novel takes away pleasure of watching the drama..as adapting requires keeping the essence , not necessarily in the same way the novel does.. and very difficult to compress novel to 30 odd episode drama..so much content from.novel doesnt make it to drama.. always better to read novel after..and see them as different entities..yu will have better time enjoying... happened with me few times.. i stopped getting excited about reading novels paralelly after burning hands few times

Sometimes star power/fandom drives the ratings ..esp initial phases.. but eventually, a good drama will accrue its worth ratings.....this one has a FL relatively without much star power and ML's fandom doesnt seem to be helping much..but story has enough meat and the cast is doing tremendous job..the ratings will go up eventually

She is assuming young master Yu loves her.. he is just going for a girl who is easy to manipulate... as his mother tells her assistant..once he realises she sold off his teachers priceless books , she will see the real side of him

Her grannie would have been less tyrannical.. Madame Yu is a different level monster.. she didnt know what she got herself into
