saw a review with the title saying "Taxi Driver: School Bully Version" and couldn't agree more. school bullying has always been an issue in korea often portrayed by kdramas. although the reality is still unknown, atleast in dramas they're proactively trying to spread awareness and stop it. that being said... 1. na hwajin and hwang in seong (dogi from taxi driver) both were actually so similar, the scenes felt so same, but the only difference was TYAL has adults punishing kids physically, while TD did that psychologically. 2. TD had just one episode based on school bullying while TYAL is a show based on schools and bullying, which is a new concept, because it portrays that not just students bullies other students but also teachers bully students, parents bully teachers, false accusations and all, a whole new world. 3. if there's a future season for TYAL or TD s4, i would literally like to have a bullying episode and a kim dogi and na hwajin crossover 4. THE DRIFTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE FREAKING DRIFTS!!!.... BEING A TD FAN, YOU SEE A DRIFT, YOU REMEBER TAXI DRIVER, KIM DOGI AND THE MAN BEHIND IT ALL, LEE JEHOON.
the above rant was just to say, all taxi driver lovers would most probably love this because this for sure didn't dissapoint me, which i somewhat expected given the title and the hype around (it deserves all the hype). like me, who loved TD S1-3, and this was honestly the best thing to happen this year after TD, taxi driver lovers would surely relate what i mean by na hwajin and kim dogi crossover.
people might comment why i keep making the correlation... just because its high time i have seen a good revenge drama with leads who actually fear none. and i miss my taxi driver team... this got my memories up... and i can't stop!!!
ANYWAYS LOVED THIS FOR SURE..... IF ANYONE'S UNSURE, JUST GO IN, I PROMISE THERE WON'T BE ANY REGRETS!!!!
P.S. the concept of a bureau protecting the students and teachers impartially is actually great... hopefully sometime in the far future, this will be an actual thing. if a little violence can help humans realise they're human not animals, then surely why not. as the drama said: politicians should behave like politicians law should behave like law adults should behave like adults parents should behave like parents teachers should behave like teachers and most importantly, "STUDENTS SHOULD BEHAVE LIKE STUDENTS!"
started this because of all the hype around it, but, have to say, it was more of a gory than horror drama. like even the gory scenes didn't gross me out, i was so comfortable to watch those scenes on repeat, while eating. a good one time watch, true. but doesn't have anything so special to hype it this much. No Hate intended, because i loved it, but still. Also, people comparing this to night has come, they aren't similar at all. night has come is a simulation thriller, while this is a occult thriller, nhc has less blood, and is more based on the mafia game rules and situations i.e. betrayals and all, while this is, as i said, was pure gore and blood. all of us are dead might be a good similarity, blood wise.
Edit: after thinking for a while what this gave similar vibes of, I remembered. This somehow reminded me of deathbell, the movie, both parts. That had videos to solve problems with a horror twist this has app. Storytelling wise it really fits with deathbell. That's a good movie too, if anyone is interested.
Watch cdramas. I've seen a decent amount of episodes of Glory, the one currently airing and I heard Love Between…
I'm not a big fan of historical dramas, so I'm afraid i might not watch Glory, but yeah i have seen Love Between the Lines, and it was great, although... being an architect and seeing the FL's struggle didn't really help with work motivation, NVM, it was great
i haven't started it but you might enjoy The Judge Returns
hey... i tried the judge returns for like the first 5 episodes, but it was too confusing and slow for me when it was still airing... might pick it up later
with both this and Taxi Driver S3 gone this week and my kdrama depression hitting hard, can anyone here recommend some other dramas with the same genre, same feels, similar plotlines and same team dynamics like these two? (bonus factor if it has a bit of romance)
meanwhile, i'm off to a taxi driver all seasons marathon, and pro bono re-binging. Currently watching: Idol I and The judge Returns

i think there is gonna be an s4 because of the cliffhanger
IDK where they got the info from, but as far as I have read or seen stuff, the actor who plays CEO Jang said all of them are very much open to S4, and LJH has a storyline which could be based on phillipines. Even PYJ said that if they say there's an S4, she'll join it as soon as possible. So yeah, the rainbow team is ready for a season renewal, the audience is prepared for a season renewal, now it's just up to SBS, Writers, and Producers to make it happen.
So now, we persuade the channel and makers or just wait... and wait.... and WAIT!!
Also, in S2, it was sergeant first class hwang yeri, but here its master sergeant Yoo Sun A!if anybody knows,…
yeah... lee yeram case would have been great but nvm. and if they manage to somehow connect oh won sang to the base's abuse and assault case, it would be great too, but given that it's the last episode tomorrow, putting everything into 1 hour episode is gonna be hectic! unless, they decide a special episode or extend the final episode to 1 and half an hour

i am assuming its about someone helping people from the north to infiltrate the south, or something far more sinister. but let's see. it was painful to see dogi realize Sun A's plan and follow her trails to realize, she followed his advice. that was a beautiful instructor subordinate relationship tho!!

i hope they do, because although this might be a good case, i had hopes for that case! because as per me, that's a case everyone should know, and korea, its government shouldn't forget that easily because its not unsual, still happening behind the blinds
the S1 OST was literally such a cute surprise from the team!! but this also might hint at the complete circle…
Also, in S2, it was sergeant first class hwang yeri, but here its master sergeant Yoo Sun A! if anybody knows, please spoil me, if this is about sergeant lee yeram case (the military sexual abuse case) or completely a different one, because, the officer who met go-eun in the base, did look weirdly at her, and i thought the military was just covering up the actual case but, i don't think that is the case!! please let me know if anyone knows!!
the S1 OST was literally such a cute surprise from the team!! but this also might hint at the complete circle of the series, but let's see! Also, why did we not get a preview? like i need to spend 24 hours in suspense for what's happening tomorrow?
