This series occasionally felt repetitive in the middle, but the final episode brought everything together beautifully.

Asamiya’s love is intense and sometimes overwhelmingly heavy, while Mayama faces it with complete sincerity. Their relationship becomes especially touching because Mayama does not simply accept being protected—he finds the courage to trust his friends and openly choose their love.

I also loved how important friendship was to the ending. When Mayama finally told Sakaki and Tsunekawada the truth, their response showed that nothing between them had to change. It was a gentle reminder that coming out does not always have to end in rejection or drama.

The story began with a seat change and ended with love and friendship remaining unchanged. Even the principal’s homemade bagels improved along the way! A warm and satisfying finale.
