Disapponting
The premise is promising, but the drama does not deliver. You can guess what the whole plot will be from the first episode. It's obvious how their stories are connected and what the big clash towards the end is going to be about.I liked the rural area people and vibes, the simplicity and the sort of healing atmosphere. However, the main characters and their storylines do not give enough to be interested in watching this to the end.
The SML is sort of just there, does not pose any "threat" to the ML, I am not even sure why he is there, because he does not show any emotion apart from smilling sweetly at the FL.
I would say the minor characters in the village are carrying the show but it's not enough to keep you interested.
The main characters are also kind of bland, not many emotions at all and I am sure the actors are capable of so much more if the characters were written differently.
From the 6 episode onwards, you can sort of tell how the story will go forward and I just don't like predictible stories like this.

Satisfying watch!
The fact that this drama is so highly rated and so popular reveals how much we long for justice and competent leaders in a world where corruption and bureaucracy make things difficult.Obviously, some things in this show are controversial and unrealistic (beating up high schoolers or government agency having absolute immunity) but I am willing to overlook that as we all understand that it is a work of fiction.
The story is deeply unsettling and also deeply satisfying. Each episode is well crafted, with a great blend of action and emotion. It leaves you shocked, disturbed, angry before it makes you cry, hope and cheer.
The main protagonists are likeable, honourable, brave, vulnerable and quirky in their own way, which makes them belieavable. I especially liked Hwa Jin and the Minister of Education. They both have shown and immense strenght and perseverance and stayed morally upright even though they did not have to.
The main villain is masterfully written, a true psychopath with no remorse, only showing any real emotion when he doesn't get his way. The character keeps you guessing and questioning whether you read him well or not and also his story is kept unsolved until the very end, with the previous episodes only giving small clues.
In the end, everything is wrapped up well and you can finish the drama with a good, although a bittersweet feeling.
The best part, however, are the mighty SLAPS and mirror-treatment that each bully receieves. These characters are so despicable that you can't but cheer when the punishment finally comes. If only our goverments were so quick and thorough with giving out strong punishments where deserved.
The only thing I found a bit ridiculous that subtracts that one final point would be how lot of the students look so old that you cannot take them seriously as students. They oftentimes look like they're pushing 40 (and some of them are) which cheapens the story.
Otherwise, HUGE recommend!

stopped watching after few episodes
Although Ahn Bo Hyun is one of my favorite actors and he is such an eye-candy and even the FL is a great actress, the story was so boring! So predictable and really no stakes at all in this story. They also did not really have a good chemistry together. Their characters were sort of bland and without depth. Sadly I could not get over episode 6, I really wished this would be more engaging as I looked forward a happy romance drama with Ahn Bo Hyun for a long tome.Was this review helpful to you?
Lot of fun, great chemistry
I have watched the first two episodes and let me tell you, I have not laughed so much watching kdrama in a long time. Some of the scenes were so out of pocket, it was awesome. The story is very intriguing so far but the best thing has to be the main lead chemistry.I was pleasantly surprised by the ML. He projects his arrogance so well and is very magnetic. The FL just compells you with her wit, perseverance and her absolutely infectious will to live.
