People saying up until they were watching for Kang il joo to get what she deserves is being raped by her husband not enough of a punishment? The trick of screen writing is to make viewer think because a woman is horrible being raped is something to gloss over, something she might deserve. What worse punishment can she actually get after that?
One last thing about the central character she doesn't lack agency she was written to lack intelligence
