The female and male leads blow this out of the park no question but on reawatch the antagonist woman of the drama step sister to the male lead steal every scene she is in and bring a much more flawless d and omplex character with apparent flaws shielding a wounded kind heart

Best role is in "when I was the most beautiful" in that drama she is not playing the archetype she usually does, she portrays a fully formed adult woman with nuances and complexities.

The adoptive mother daughter relationship is what is interesting here, that bond is getting stronger even though the identity of the person they have in common to them at this point

Best adoptive mother and daughter duo ever! I really loved first 27 first episodes which basically tales the story of that adoptive mother and daughter duo slowly bonding with affection and love. Lady Han raised an extraordinary woman after her death in episode 27 I just skipped most of the show I was interested in her rise as physician and the downfall of the Chi clan. The issue is not screen time why is story matters? It actually doesn't, the father matters because it resolves the abondonment issues of the ML at some point he has to know, understand and heal aside from creating a love triangle what is the purpose of his presence?

If you have no issue witih the Targaryens love affairs or Jamie and Cersei Lannister in the entire GoT universe then the mother doppelganger romantic arc is nothing

Of all the in laws here the one with the deceased daughter actively plotting against any remarriage of your former son in law, he is the former since the daughter /wife has been dead for 5 years. Every living arrangements with them in this drama is at best unhealthy
