I like the main characters so far, even though love triangles aren't really my thing. My biggest issue at the moment is the townsfolk (mainly the head nurse and the two old guys). I understand that the show is a comedy and that they're from a remote island, but their behavior feels unrealistically rude. It's almost cartoonish how hostile they are toward the doctors, a profession that's usually treated with a lot of respect.
The trope of blunt, eccentric rural residents has been handled much better in other shows imo. Hopefully, the series starts to pivot toward showing some kinder and more nuanced patients. Instead of relying so heavily on conflict created by wacky or rude townspeople, it could focus more on the challenges of providing medical care with limited resources, which would be both more interesting and more believable. It is only the second episode so I will give a chance and cause Shin Ye Eun is the goat.
I really enjoyed this show. The first half and the baby honestly carry the entire thing. That said, every time the second male lead showed up, I felt like I lost years off my life.
