Truly powerful and intense experience
in my opinion, it is an outstanding show, but it comes with a strong content warning: it features severe abuse scenes that are very difficult to watch.Learning that parts of the bullying are based on a real-life incident makes the viewing experience even more harrowing.
At the same time, the series reflects trauma and violence in a raw, realistic, and unfiltered way—a refreshing and important departure from typical K-dramas.
Because the core subject touches upon real-world issues, it is very easy to empathize with the female lead, feel her pain, and support her meticulous, years-long revenge strategy.
Song Hye-kyo delivers a phenomenal performance—cold and calculated, yet deeply layered with emotion.
Beyond the personal revenge plot, the series raises profound questions about human nature, class privilege, and the way institutional systems often fail victims of severe violence.
It is a brilliant, gripping, and masterfully crafted drama, but it is definitely not recommended for viewers who are sensitive to heavy depictions of abuse

I loved it
I have to confess: as someone who doesn't usually gravitate toward historical dramas, I didn't expect to enjoy it this much, but it completely surprised me. It was fun, engaging, and filled with humor alongside a thrilling, fascinating, and emotional plot. What I loved most is the emotional depth of the story. The heart of the drama is the seemingly impossible conflict: knowing the leads can never truly be together as long as she is forced to live under a stolen identity as the Crown Prince. The thought that they cannot build a future together while she is trapped in a role forced upon her is truly heartbreaking. Throughout the entire series, I kept wondering how the story could possibly resolve this—how they could end up together, and how they could carry on knowing how deeply in love they were. Thankfully, the ending offers so much comfort and a wonderfully satisfying conclusion.
Beyond the romance, the series beautifully highlights core values of true friendship, loyalty, and deep trust. And the cast? Absolutely outstanding! Park Eun-bin delivers a masterclass performance in such a complex role, and Rowoon is not only stunning but also proves what an incredibly talented actor he is.
Personally, I found myself binge-watching this show every spare moment I had. Highly recommended for anyone who loves high-quality romance and compelling historical dramas

So many emotions in one drama
It is an incredibly moving and heart-touching drama. While there is a tiny romantic storyline, it is definitely not the main focus. The true heart of the series is the complex relationship between the mother and her son—a dynamic that was initially very painful to watch.
There were so many episodes that literally brought me to tears. But the beauty of this show is that as the story unfolds and you understand the reasons behind the mother's actions and their circumstances, everything makes complete, profound sense.
The actors give absolutely outstanding performances. Their acting is so convincing and powerful that it was extremely hard for me to step away from the screen, and I found myself staying up late into the night just to watch one more episode. The plot is surprising, captivating, and deeply layered. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, high-quality drama that really hits hard

I loved it!
If you are looking for a light, funny and romantic drama that is simply fun to watch – Destined With You is a great choice. This is a fun and entertaining viewing experience from the first moment. The acting is excellent, and the chemistry between Rowoon and Bo Ah is simply great – you can clearly see that the actors themselves had a lot of fun filming the series, and this energy is transferred directly to the screen. Rowoon is simply a great actor who brings with him a lot of charm and great comedic timing.
This series really has everything: lots of romance and comedy, alongside touches of drama, action and some interesting historical background that adds volume to the modern plot. An excellent, light and very fun series that simply does good for the heart!
