I've been obsessed with Dream of the Red Chamber for about a decade, having read it dozens of times and read everything English-language analysis or essay I can find. Obsessed with Redology, I've delved so deep into the Jia family that I felt at home in the garden with Bao-yu and his companions, and even my real apartment is filled with art and collectibles that Dream of the Red Chamber has inspired through the centuries. A few years ago, I finally decided to watch the classic 1987 television adaptation, followed by just about every other film or television adaptation I could find.

Eventually, Amazon Prime recommended I watch a show called "Empresses in the Palace" - the show that would be my gateway drug into the world of C-Dramas! The condensed version on Amazon wasn't enough - I NEEDED the full 70-something episode Legend of Zhen Huan. From there, it was off to the races, and now I've seen more C-Dramas that I care to admit, almost all of them being historical.

I'm now looking to branch out of my Historical C-Drama bubble, and would love recommendations!
