Idk, Iām worried about Min Hye. When she told Jian to not worry about her dying in ep 4, that seems like foreshadowing to me š. But I hope she survives!
Oh my gosh! Poor susu! Letās see, she gets knocked out by mother murong, almost buried alive with Qingyu. Threatened/held at gunpoint by Qingyi, their relationship is severed for good, cabin set on fire with her in it, she gets beaten up saving Qingyi, wakes up but not in hospital, but in some mysterious place, not treated immediately, gets interrogated and threatened by Li Bozai, held again at gunpoint, in severe pain is threatened to talk, passed out again, wakes up in hospital only to be told she is pregnant, has permanent hearing loss from getting beaten, now has to raise a child alone. Likeā¦ā¦.what!?! Itās like the writers decided to give her 3 yrs of suffering all within the span of 2 daysš«šš. My girl needs to heal!!
It sort feels like this drama is reading toward a BE. Reason is because it seems like they keep foreshadowing Susuās death. She seems to sacrifice herself a lot, put others in front of her, never thinks about herself, like in ep 20, when sheās having the funeral for her adopted father, she talks about never having a happily ever after. So to me, this is foreshadowing of her death š. I feel like Qingyiās death would be wrong because heās already suffered enough and to have him die will make no sense unless it is a type of sacrifice. But I donāt think they will end up together. Itās gonna be one or the other or both. Iām stressing yāall. Iāve never been this stressed for a drama. But if it ends bad, at least we have POJ/Fireworks of my Heart to rewatch š¤£.
I donāt know about you guys, but those who are watching it and supporting the show. Itās stressing me TF out! Like not in a bad way, Iām just so invested in the story and characters, itās the first drama where I feel like I am lost as to how this will end. Itās unpredictable, like will only susu or qingyi survive or will both die? Or will they actually get through these tragic times and survive together? Like we have NOOO idea how this will end, and itās stressing me out. š I want it to end happy, but Iām not sure! Especially with war and what China went through, it was really tragic!
If there are any filler episodes, I hope they are going to be about what susu did during those 3 yrs. It looks like theyāre going to finish the huo family conflict in ep 18-19, so Iām not sure how important going back to that time will be? Which is a bummers because I really wanted to see what happened after the train incident.
On the side note, since watching this, I cannot hear āBack To Decemberā the same againšš. Hey, if anyone of you make cdrama edits, you should make one using this song! Itās so heartbreaking!
Do you think they are going to show what happened with Ren Susu after she fell out of train? Like how did she survive and make it back to south city? Who even trained her to become Fang Mulan? I hope they show an episode explaining that!
Soooooā¦ā¦idk about you guys. But I am low key worried for the end. Likeā¦..why do I get this feeling Ren Susu is going to die at the end and Qingyi is going to be left alone to raise their child? Based on Reuters they obviously have a kid, but many of them are with Qingyi and him. I hardly see any with her. Sooooā¦.ya, Iām kinda worried about this ending. Also, those who have read the leaked script, I canāt find it anywhere. Does anyone have any idea as to how this will end? I feel like they will solve the Huo family within the next 10 episodes, then there is going to be another catastrophe they need to work together for the rest. Has anyone read the leaked script? I keep seeing posts or have heard of people getting the script. I know ZHL talked about 2 different endings. Do you think this will be happy or sad? Is this going to be another Fireworks of my heart where the drama just gets bombarded with negative reviews just for the sake of it? Because it seems like itās going that way. I donāt want WCR reputation to be ruined again, she doesnāt deserve the negative hate. If anything give all the hate to the director haha! Also, if a drama is hated so bad, can they stop broadcasting it and remove it?
So, I am super happy with overdo? Maybe Iām in the 25th percentile of people that actually like it? But help me understand why itās getting so much hatred? I get it, AI sucks, editing can be wonky, but really it hasnāt had anything to do with the plot. I am solely focusing on the story, execution of the story, and acting. Post production couldāve been better, yes for sure, but the significant hate this is getting is beyond my understanding. I sometimes wonder if many of these fans are new to cdramas and have never watched a republican drama.

Thats just what they are, whereas vs a historical/fantasy drama they execute in other things like cgi. Also, there are many fantasy/historical dramas that have terrible post production, but we still enjoy it because of the story, like Love in the Clouds. That was a successful drama but lacked in the cgi, so why all this hate on overdo?
