hmm i rlly hope im not wrong as a fan of this drama but is the reference lu wu yi asking ji ling for flowers that last a long time and then when they are di zhu and man man he gives her the hair pin about how his love for her is like this flower, it will never fade.

8.5/8.6 but sadly due to haters it will be difficult to raise it back up. its easy to bring a rating down but hard to bring it back up

i was personally rlly hooked to this drama whereas hidden love was a little slow for me, pursuit of jade failed to keep me engaged, and the first frost was also rlly slow. even tho i liked hidden love and the first frost i personally enjoyed love between lines way more as it was a diff story. it might not be your cup of tea but i personally really enjoyed this drama and even rewatched it. i feel the VR kinda added to the drama bc they first meet there and then they meet outside of it. and the VR does come in every now and then because it rlly connects fl and ml.

chong zhao who became mo li is able to leave just like how xing yue never came to be and how jing yuan left fan yue the power. my dream written ending is that fu ling/bai xi makes a bet with mo li that she can make him learn to love instead of be greedy and he finds it fascinating and agrees to give her one month before killing. if bai xi wins the bet he returns chong zhao to her and if she loses she wont stop his plan. bai xi tries everything she has done with chong zhao to make mo li fall in love but it doesn't work as well. after a week bai xi leaves the palace to go find bai shuo and fan yue and warn them of mo li's plan. mo li tries finding her and can't and believes she gave up. but for some reason he finds himself missing her coming every day but denies it. then after a day he can't handle it and goes everywhere to find her finally finding her with bai shuo and fan yue. bai shuo and fan yue think he's there to fight and end the world but to their surprise he fights them and when bai xi walks out he immediately stops to look at her. everyone is confused but they still fight. mo li obv being powerful knocks them out in one go showing that he was purposely not using full power to see if bai xi will come out. then he kidnaps bai xi and takes her back locking her in the room. he then walks into her room, holds her chin up and forcibly kisses her. bai xi is appalled and tries pushing him back but he only kisses harder. after slowly letting go bai xi immediately asks "what are you doing?" realization of what he did hits mo li and he stumbles back. then flirtily bai xi asks have you fallen in love with me?". mo li pauses and glances at bai xi, denies his feelings and walks away. but clearly smth in his heart has changed. meanwhile bai shuo and fan yue make a plan to save bai xi and go to cold spring palace to save her. mo li walks into bai xi's room and just as he's about to caress her face he here a commotion outside. its fan yue and bai shuo. a fight ensues and bai xi is left to watch as her sister and fan yue fight mo li. as this commotion is going on, the eternals come and find the fight ensuing and fu ling tied sitting there. the eternals find this as a chance and decide to kill fu ling as they still believe she is a demoness. as they are about to kill her mo li sees this and immediately stands in front of her. obv the damage does nothing as he's a god but bai xi, bai shuo, fan yue, and the eternals look in shock. mo li realizes what he has done and while he wants to deny it, he finds something has truly changed inside of him. he turns around with tears dropping from his eyes for the first time. he looks at bai xi kneels down and says okay i admit it you win as he caresses her face. he closes his eyes lets the tears drop and is ready to return chong zhao. he destroys his mantle or wtvr jing yuan did when he returned as fan yue, and as he begins dissipating kisses bai xi one last time. as he's kissing he dissipates and chong zhao returns and bai xi and chong zhao enjoy a kiss and embrace. with all the gods gone, the 4 of them live happily in ning'an city and encounter heaven. she then mentions everything to them and apologizes for being wrong and realizes that xing yue needed emotions to survive and realized that through the 4 of them, xing yue, jing yuan, mo li, and the spirit bow. she then leaves and the 4 of them live together happily with their kids. bai xi and bai shuo share a moment of missing their fathers and then their husbands join them looking up into the stars with their kids

moonlight mystique is one of my top 5 fav c dramas of all time only below love in the clouds and when i fly towards you, but my only critique is them killing off everyone including the main leads in the end. if i had the choice my dream ending would be (in spoiler below)

honestly i never thought of it from that point of view. ig us viewers were mostly upset that them being in a different world meant there was no more brotherhood of li jie and ji ling and no more sisterhood between lu wu yi and wu wang yan and the fact they never knew how much they went through for their love for each other.

i need to see more of her as fl. she has been playing support for too long and she is such a great actress and very versatile

i wouldn't necessarily say people are lying with this rating b/c this was pretty popular amongst a lot of people and just b/c a lot of ppl likes it doesn't mean they r lying with the rating. but i will agree this drama despite its high ratings wasn't rlly my cup of tea. despite enjoying all the scenes and trailers i couldn't find myself hooked to the drama, it got sort of draggy.

darn i thought it would be cool. well at the least i hope we could get a modern drama with those 2 as leads again bc i loved their chemistry in love in the clouds. i think i've rewatched the drama almost 10 times by now.

but it wasn't like an actual high-budget attempt. i'm saying if they attempted to make a real like s-tier or at least a-tier level remake it would be amazing. but like i would be down to watch another drama with like a revenge plot kind of similar to marry my husband. i think it would be satisfying to still see a badass lu yu xiao and totally obsessed in love hou ming hao

I might be crazy but I was thinking that if lu yu xiao and hou ming hao did another drama together it would have to be like a remake of marry my husband or a similar revenge plot. If they remade marry my husband I feel like chen du ling would ace as jeong-su min based on her acting from TTEOTM and liu xue yi as park min-hwan based on his annoying character of hao chen from LAR. I'm crazy ik but i can't stop imagining a badass lu yu xiao and a cold but in love hou ming hao 😭

yeah i get the fl was annoying but i honestly viewed her in a diff light. i viewed her as a fl who did cry at first cuz of the misunderstanding of miya and JXK but imo that's kinda on JXK for not clarifying it first. but later i saw her as a fl who didn't let miya pull her down. she left jxk to let him figure out stuff with miya but didn't break up with him. she did cry but that's normal human feelings. instead of being the fl who is jealous and tryna prove her worth or compete with the ex, she instead gave jxk time to sort himself out and i honestly admired that about her. obv ik most ppl dislike her character and i did find her annoying at first, but i later felt she was a very realistic character who broke the standard love rival trope.

i mean i understand her. she did technically approach him thinking he poisoned her and with the intent of getting the golden millet dream and taking revenge. she unexpectedly fell in love with him so i think it makes a lot of sense that she is hesitant in telling him cuz she loves him and knows how much he loves her. and yes 27 does sacrifice himself to save his master aka the fl but he will come back i mean ming yi/ming xian has a rlly high cultivation level so 27 can come back quickly. i understand if u think its dumb but i honestly think it enhances the drama and makes a lot of sense. but i mean if u have been trying to finish this for over a month and think it's slow then maybe this drama just isn't ur cup of tea. most of us who liked this drama and have rewatched it were hooked from like ep 1 or more like ep 3. if u are on ep 23 and still aren't hooked it just means this drama isn't your cup of tea which is alright.

I totally understand how you feel but i would say to just thug it out and watch the last 3 episodes. I honestly really enjoyed this drama and watched it till the end and have rewatched despite hating sort of sad/open endings. I feel like ur missing out seeing mo li in action and seeing the intensity between fu ling and mo li/chong zhao. ik it might not be the happiest ending but i still felt it was really worth it so i would say give the episodes a try unless it is rlly unbearable.

yeah exactly like the reason i gave it a 10/10 was because i watched it while it was airing so waiting for the next episodes made me really excited. but honestly i don't think i would be able to rewatch it with the same excitement and i do realize why ppl would rate it like a 5 or 6 or 7. i just enjoyed it bc the story while it was airing was so intriguing. but i think this is one of those dramas that might not be as enjoyable on a rewatch. maybe certain scenes but def not the whole drama

that's honestly horrible. people are allowed to have their own opinions of the drama and its true rating. just bc i enjoyed it doesn't mean someone can't dislike it. and while i may think that ratings like 6 or under are extreme ppl are allowed to vote those if they truly think the drama is a disaster. i don't understand the need to be attacking smn who gives a valid reasoning for their ratings. at the end of the day it's just a drama ppl watch for entertainment. no need to go to the extent of hate comments, harassment, and even death threats. i rlly hope that user is doing better as she really doesn't deserve what she went through.

yes i agree i lwk never understood how the ml loved the fl because she seemed like such a bully. i wanted to enjoy skate into love because a lot of ppl seemed to like it but i was never able to get into it. i on the other hand rlly enjoyed to fly with you and it became my fav sports drama.

i feel like VOS is one of the most underrated yet also one of the most popular dramas of 2026 or maybe even longer cuz tell me why despite the low ratings and haters it continues to be praised and difficult to move on from

I agree this will forever be one of my top 5 dramas of all time
