Seeing people act like that scene came out of nowhere honestly makes me question whether they even watched the drama from episodes 1–8. The relationship between the leads didn’t magically appear overnight. Their bond was developed gradually, with every episode showing them learning to understand, comfort, protect, and heal each other emotionally. People are forcing this weird “motherhood” interpretation onto the scene when that was never the point. PHY has always written stories centered on emotionally wounded people finding healing and comfort through one another. That theme has always been present in her works. Her writing focuses on emotional intimacy, loneliness, empathy, vulnerability, and human connection.
Also, can people stop infantilizing grown women? She’s a woman in her 30s. Whenever Eun Ah experiences intense emotions and her nose bleeds, strange incidents happen around her, almost as if her thoughts manifest physically.

It’s his brother’s way of disciplining him. Dong Man even said to call the police the moment his brother punched him. So it wasn’t the first time his brother had done it.
