Just finished ep 27 and boy is the show dragging. We're getting more of the same. The staging is static, and the dialogue is loosey goosey and boring. Qingyi is being a giant loon who's lost the plot, and Susu the Weepy doesn't move a muscle like usual (but there are tears!). Now, the duelling duo are sleuthing like a fashionable married couple, not a hair out of place! The pacing is so twisted and awkward there is no rhythm or direction to it. I'm getting whiplash.
I don't know how I will endure the final binge tomorrow. I'm hoping Susu makes the ultimate sacrifice with a heroic death and puts me out of my misery. And Qingyi's.
But I'm getting the feeling that there will be a HE and that would really make it all a sick joke. I dread it. I also think I'm going a little crazy.
A lot of people on MDL are not used to Chinese drama romances about really terrible people having really shitty…
There’s a lot of presumption here without the statics to prove it. Do you have an argument that doesn’t make a comparison to POJ and its actor and ascribe ignorance to a section of the audience?
NO. Sorry. Just no . That doesn't get a pass. Especially when these fits of rage go on forever and hers are unjustifiably…
Oh, I see. Thanks for the clarification on your musings. So, this mess has an upside. It can be educational. 🤔
That's one thing I love about c-dramas. I find a lot of them far more substantial, thoughtful and intelligent than most western dramas, not to mention some acting is quite profound. They are many layered and can inspire self-reflection. It's happened to me as well.
As someone who has enjoyed both ML and FML's previous performances, as well as someone who is FRUSTRATINGLY ENJOYING…

It's ok to express that. I'm here for FL, I don't love the drama either, but since I'm nearing the end, might…
The incoherence and lack of logic has been making me crazy! As are the flat, overly bright lighting, filters and relentless closeups taking away from everyone's humanity and expressions. I finally concede, it's more like a soap opera. With paper dolls. These are gorgeous actors and the cinematography actually made them less appealing.
This drama is probably one of the worst script I've ever watched so far. I've watched countless of revenge dramas,…
Agreed that the leads have no chemistry even though I like both actors. She's cold and cries a lot, and neither shows longing in their eyes, especially Qingyi. I do see a lot of suspicion though. It might partially be the fault of the director. I really loved the actress who played the mother in her scenes with Qingyi. Both the stabbing and the drunkenness. Fire.
Romance is not the main priority; it’s a love/hate revenge very intense story. Check out a fe episodes and see…
You think? I hope you're wrong. Sociopaths cannot be redeemed. They only know how to manipulate. I want her dead so Qingyi can rest and find peace and love with his son. Family finally.(Maybe she'll rescue him from death before she snuffs it.)

Yes, he'd never known love (unlike Susu the Weepy) and even his brother's love was a bit overbearing. Qingyi really loves purely. What a wild and crazy guy. ♥️

I did as well. And wanted intro to XZX because I found her looks refreshing. The posters wouldn't put me off, but my point still stands- Overdo was advertised as a romance where you expect to feel the love, but this has been a bit of love and endless, endless hate.

I appreciate your thoughtful response.
"the FL is same, never felt she liked the ML, and feel like ML is already broken enough!" Exactly!

Why won't she die? How come she rates?
