No. Only to those who think this lopsided level of relentless sadism, abuse and toxicity are a little slice of life and not a drama about torturing a human being. Watching endless cruelty is exhausting, but a good drama offers a well balanced story.

Of course, she's always been kind and loving and considerate of him, not a raging psycho.

I'm not sure who she ever 'loved' because she doesn't know him at all.

I wish I hadn't watched 25. It turned my stomach. It's like watching a torture film. It's not entertaining, it's distressing.
I stopped watching previews. I'm waiting for Express. I hope I can stomach the last eps.

Well, I'm determined to watch it to the bitter end because I've invested a lot of my time and hope for it and want to know how it turns out. But if it turns out to be a conventional HE, I'll drag it down into the grave.

This is not film noir. With the right director and production team it could have been.

Ren Susu sure weeps a lot while being a freaking SADIST. After Ep 25 I've had enough. I'm not only furious at her, I now find her revolting. The cruelty from her and all other fronts keeps piling on Qingyi, blindsiding him over and over again. It never stops. While in essence Qingyi is still that terribly abused child craving normalcy and affection.


My happy ending will be with Susu dead as a doornail (I’ll kick her to make sure) and Qingyi finally able to rest and find peace and love with his son.

Most c-dramas I've chosen I've enjoyed so much that I never want them to end. This is the only one where the end can't come soon enough. I can’t even bear to watch the previews. Once Express is available I'm finally going to finish it gritting my teeth all the way. I completely dread the usual happy ending - it would be so wrong and sick. Come to think of it this entire story has turned out to be sick. It's a bit like a torture film or a snuff film. It’s distressing and no longer entertaining.

Would I recommend Overdo? Only if the person wants their heart and soul flayed like Murong Qingyi’s soft heart and soul are flayed all day every day. The gods in the heavens must weep.

They were not extreme cases. From what I've read fandoms can have an inordinate amount of influence and power ($$$$). At the moment ZLH's official fandom is trying to influence which actress will costar with him in 'Revenge'. IMO they are all crazy. This is not uncommon.

Btw I love 'Our Generation,' my comfort drama. Yes it feels chopped (and it was) but ZLH's acting is first rate and emotionally compelling. Oddly, I feel like I'm watching his autobiography.

Fair arguments. I think that Le'an is his point of healing. No matter what came before for Qingyi, his son is a dream come true. Family. Normal. Love.

The most important point is that Qingyi still has an open heart, and he still can embrace love.
