I watched this when it came out back in 2022....and this series still lives rent free in my head, when a series is so good that it keeps coming back to you years later is when you know that it was special! Everything from the cast to the production as well as the storyline was top notch!, On top of all this series depicts humanity in its purest, most raw form that leaves you in awe of what a beautiful job it actually does in getting Everything right. I never imagined that a fantasy drama would be the most human out of anything i have ever watched but here we are! It deals with the delicate issue of self harm/ unaliving one-self but in the most positive way ever.... things can get difficult in life but i am glad this series exists cause it unknowingly made me want to live far more than i have ever wanted. It made me want to not take things for granted and yes it might be a tad bit dramatic that it took a kdrama to explain those things to me,,,,but sometimes the simplest things in life can make you want to do something. I watched this at 15/16 and now at 19 i am glad my younger teen self got the confidence it did because of this drama. STORYLINE:5/5 ACTING:5/5 PACING:5/5 OVERALL: 10/10
Okay where should i start?? The fact that i made an account just to post a review about this series should be reason enough that this was a spectacular watch. This series wasn't just a rando k-drama, nope, this was an entire freaking EXPERIENCE... the first episode starts with diving straight into the plot....and we are hit with this amazing OST that sets an almost expensive and mysterious tone to this drama right of the bat! You know how you enter an expencive mall and the first thing you notice is the air conditioning hitting you on the face making you both excited and thrilled to see whats next to come...... the OST "who's real" did exactly that! The mystery wasn't super predictable for once and the foreshadowing was done is the right manner..... although it does spoon feed you all the suspects, there is still some amount of confusion left for you to be able to enjoy this as a thriller.... But where this drama actually shines is the atmosphere + the dark and sweet romance between the leads....no this isn't a full blown romance and i LOVE that.... when romance becomes a subplot thats when the chemistry actually shines and leaves you craving for more!! The leads had breathtaking chemistry, every scene felt like a piece of art, the OSTs were top notch, as i said, the atmosphere this drama creates is everything.. And pls dont listen to others bs in the comments....anyone who did not like it either went into it thinking that this was either a thriller or a romance....NO....this is a ROMANTIC THRILLER/MYSTERY....it is a combination of both and thats the best part about it,! Others who watched this while it was streaming did also complain about the pacing and what not....but here me out....you do not watch a thriller while its streaming....you are either going to forget the little detals or the mystery will become too overwhelming, I am glad i binged it cause thats the best way to approach a thriller and will be the most satisfying experience overall,!
