Doctor Stranger combines several things I really enjoy in one drama: medicine, romance, suspense and political intrigue. It can definitely become messy and overdramatic, but somehow that was part of the fun for me rather than something that ruined it. Lee Jong Suk was the biggest reason it worked so well. Park Hoon is brilliant but emotionally damaged, and I loved watching him switch between the confident doctor and the man carrying everything that had happened to him. The medical scenes kept me interested and the story rarely felt boring, even when it became completely crazy. It's not a perfect drama, but it was absolutely my kind of drama and one I remember very fondly
