Chen YanYun is the top character of this drama for me, and imo, the one with the best story and characterization.…
This is exactly what i was looking for. Whenever i watch a drama i will either fall for the female lead's character or the male lead's character. Its very rare to have them both have the kind of depth that draws you in to understand their decisions, every move they make and how they do it. CYY it truly a wonderful person, and he had a beffiting aura for the position he occupied not only in court but at home as well.
A scene that I really loved that you didn't touch on in your analysis of his character is when he avoided GJZ after the issue with CXQ. It might have seemed a little cold to some people but that scene was 100% aligned with his character. He had always been surrounded by many people but no one was truly close to his heart until GJZ came along.
He is a person who knows how to weigh right and wrong, pros and cons and knows to withhold judgement until it is deserving. So even in his anger, it was never directed at anyone, not GJZ or even CXQ, but to himself. He had never learnt how allow himself to feel wronged or get upset freely, never mind that this was now to do with a person whose love mattered to him the most. So when he was at the house at the temple he admitted that the way he behaved was somewhat childish but regardless he didnt feel happy and needed a way to show it, a way that wouldnt result in him mistreating his wife. It takes so much restrain to be maintain you principles, especially when prodded at your weak spot.
Could my couple have a peaceful honey moon ? Could Ye Xian kill CXQ for me. I know YY will never kill one from…
Literally, CXQ needs out before he brings trouble to the fml and ml 😭😭. Like my guy, you are getting married to a good girl and this is your aunt-in-law now, get over it. Plus i just need Ye Xian to get a clear picture of how much YY has been helping him instead of giving all the credit to ZJ, i need him to fall for Qinglan, they would make a great couple
