it depends on who owns the Series rights, Thailand Production Company owns it as it produced and licenced the drama, hence It's a Thai drama...You'll see some Singaporean & HongKong and Taiwan dramas that actually are acted and filmed by Chinese personnels, but country name is related to the production house of distribution & licenses (as BLs are totally banned in china,they Don't permit it at all) . All Chinese BLs are licensed from other countries, but some production companies are chinese (eg. Double helix), when production house is chinese It's called chinese drama (in spite of Where It's licensed from),otherwise no...they can't call it chinese drama, It's violation of rights,part of production clause
