Idk I just disagree. I think that it does make sense to be shocked to have to do the dirty work himself. He’s basically been pawning off other boys and using them as stepping stones, so having to do something like that probably is terrifying. Yes it seems to be implied he was once in their position too, but he seems to be doing his best to have other people take the fall for him now. I found the mirror scene to more be like he’s finding his resolve again and getting over having to kill the kid. Also I imagine that killing someone now makes him even more indebted to his backer because that isn’t really something he can wiggle out of if it’s exposed. I think there can be a thought about how it’s going to affect his future and career too. Also I disagree that ambitious people don’t have remorse for the things they do to elevate themselves. I think they can feel horrified about what they’ve done, but the important part is they did it anyway. I’m not going to say Fuaiz is the greatest actor ever because he’s not and a lot of the cast can improve, but I think he’s doing a fine job with what he’s been given (the characterization, script, and direction is a bit inconsistent at times) and works as a fit for Sunny.

I don’t think that’s the reason he asked for the divorce. I think he finally pulls away because he see Lu Qing with that guy again, so he feels like he’s worthless on that front. And his mother now has explicitly told him he’s a stepping stone for the entire family and it seems it finally clicked for him that they’ll never stop using him to better their lives. I get his character and why he’s so meek too. It seems he can’t handle being a ‘lifeline’ for everyone anymore.
This is such a generalized statement that is also just not true. Many series do have intimacy coaches and those scenes are very heavily stuck to the script and discussed to ensure the actors are comfortable.
