Agree with you. Last bit of 16, 17 were incredible with the slow building dread and discomfort. It was suffocating and anxiety inducing. 18 had many things going on too. The user above said she was bored, half watching and not really paying attention so she's probably just not interested at all.

Idk man, arsenal military academy and mystic nine fall firmly under the fictional idol republican drama category too and they are leagues ahead in terms of quality. I shouldn't have even mentioned mystic nine here, it's on a different tier altogether. That minidrama the other user mentioned is also a cheesy idol republic drama.

And I don't recall seeing that idol word in there before. Either you added it later or I missed it. Point still stands.

What a stupid thing to say, the stars on the screen and the people behind it are all real, the industry is real, the effort spent shooting day and night is real, the cash and promotions are real, viewers time and money are real too. How ridiculous to say it's all lie and fake pretend. The only thing fictional is the story which they are bringing to LIFE for immersion and enjoyment of viewers.

Short drama? Limited budget?

The lighting and directing too. The settings look fake and is ruining my immersion. Doesn't give that old era republican vibes at all. The plot is cliche and scenes aren't landing hard enough to overlook everything else. The leads deserved better than this.
