I had huge expectations after the pilot trailer, which was so good it kept me hooked through a two year wait, but the actual show leaves me feeling a bit conflicted…it’s beautifully shot and the acting is great, but I can’t help but feel like some topics may have been toned down or limited. Instead of diving deep into the delicate themes teased in the pilot, it’s like they went it a different direction and opted for a lighter, safer storyline. It’s still a good watch, but there are moments where it feels like they’re walking on eggshells when the story had the potential to go much deeper. Writing aside, Fourth and Gemini are totally delivering and carrying the series, this is just my personal take on the script being a bit lacking.
