The One That Will Always Have My Heart
Love Between Fairy and Devil became my favorite Chinese drama. I didn't expect to fall in love with it this much. The romance is beautifully written and the chemistry between the main leads is incredible. I loved watching Dongfang Qingcang slowly change because of Xiao Lanhua. Their relationship feels natural, emotional, and full of unforgettable moments.
Dylan Wang's performance completely surprised me. He managed to make Dongfang Qingcang look powerful, intimidating, funny, caring, and deeply emotional. He quickly became one of my favorite actors.
I also appreciated that the supporting characters had their own stories. Shangque, Jieli, Danyin, and even Changheng all grew on me throughout the drama.
The visuals, costumes, soundtrack, and CGI were beautiful and created a magical atmosphere. Every episode made me want to watch the next one.
The only small thing I wished for was a slightly longer ending. After such an emotional journey, I wanted a few more scenes showing the main couple's happy life together. That's why I gave the story a 9.5/10.
Overall, this drama made me laugh, cry, and smile. It will always have a special place in my heart, and I know I'll rewatch it many times.
I've watched many dramas over the years, but this is the first one that truly stayed in my heart.
Overall, I highly recommend this drama. ✨

Wonderful Chemistry, One Constant Discomfort
~ First Part (No Spoilers) ~I started this drama mainly because I had heard good things about the romance, and in many ways, it delivered exactly what I was looking for.
The chemistry between the two leads was excellent. Their interactions felt natural, their playful moments made me smile, and once they acknowledged their feelings, I absolutely loved watching them together. One of my favorite aspects of this drama was that the romance didn't stop after the confession. Instead, we were given plenty of affectionate moments, kisses, longing looks, and the kind of romantic tension that made their relationship feel alive. As someone who loves seeing couples actually enjoy being together, this was incredibly satisfying.
I also have to praise He Yu. His performance was one of the biggest reasons I kept watching. Jin Zhao is charismatic, protective, and emotionally expressive, and He Yu portrayed those qualities wonderfully. Even when I disagreed with some of Jin Zhao's decisions later in the story, I never stopped appreciating his acting.
I also enjoyed several of the supporting characters. San Lai was one of my favorites, bringing both humor and honesty to the story. I especially appreciated how he wasn't afraid to challenge Jin Zhao when he believed he was making the wrong choices. The supporting cast added warmth to the story and made many scenes even more enjoyable.
Unfortunately, there was one aspect that constantly prevented me from fully embracing the romance: the adopted sibling dynamic.
I completely understand that Jin Zhao and Mu Mu are not related by blood, and I know that this won't bother every viewer. However, because they were raised as brother and sister, I personally never managed to forget that part of their relationship. I genuinely tried to look past it because I loved their chemistry so much, but that feeling of discomfort stayed with me from the beginning until the very end. Even when the story referenced this relationship near the ending, it reminded me of the same uneasiness I had felt from the start.
This is, of course, entirely personal, and many viewers may not feel the same way. I simply wanted to mention it because I think it's something potential viewers should know before starting the drama.
~ Spoilers ~
The drama changes its tone quite significantly after the time skip, becoming much more serious than the first half.
While I appreciated that the story became more emotional, I found myself becoming frustrated with Jin Zhao's decisions, particularly regarding his illness.
What bothered me wasn't his desire to protect Mu Mu—it was the fact that he made that decision for her. He chose to hide the truth, asked everyone else to lie as well, ignored her messages, and allowed years to pass without giving her the chance to decide what she wanted.
One of my favorite moments in this storyline was actually when San Lai confronted him. He pointed out exactly what I had been thinking: protecting someone shouldn't mean taking away their ability to choose.
Personally, I believe that if someone truly loves you, they deserve the truth. Let them decide whether they want to stay by your side instead of deciding for them. I truly believe Mu Mu would have chosen to remain by his side, which made this part of the story particularly frustrating for me.
Despite these frustrations, I still genuinely enjoyed the romance. The chemistry between the leads remained one of the drama's greatest strengths, and I loved every moment where they simply acted like two people deeply in love.
Overall, I had a really good time watching this drama. It made me laugh, gave me plenty of butterflies, and introduced me to another actor whose future projects I'll definitely be watching.
I would still recommend this drama—but with one small warning. If the adopted sibling dynamic is something that might make you uncomfortable, it's worth knowing that this element remains part of the story throughout the drama. If, however, you're able to look past it or it doesn't bother you, I think you'll have an even better experience than I did, because the chemistry, romance, and performances are genuinely enjoyable.

A Beautiful Fantasy Romance That Left Me Wanting Just a Little More
I started this drama because I absolutely loved Esther Yu in Love Between Fairy and Devil, and I was excited to see her in another fantasy role. At the time, I didn't know Ding Yuxi at all, but by the end of the drama, I completely understood why so many people admire him. He quickly became one of my favorite actors. His portrayal of Mu Sheng was the biggest highlight of the drama for me. He brought so much charm, vulnerability, protectiveness, and emotional depth to the character. Watching his development throughout the story was a joy.
The romance was one of my favorite aspects. The chemistry between the leads felt natural, sweet, and full of heart. They gave me plenty of butterflies, and I genuinely enjoyed watching their relationship grow.
I also have to mention how much I loved the relationship between Mu Yao and Lin Miao Miao. Their friendship was one of the most heartwarming parts of the drama, and I really enjoyed seeing their trust and support for one another.
The supporting cast was wonderful, and the group dynamic made the story even more enjoyable. The comedy was another pleasant surprise—I laughed much more than I expected, and it balanced the emotional moments perfectly. The fantasy world, costumes, and visuals were also beautiful and immersive.
The only reason I didn't rate this drama even higher is because I was left wanting just a little more from the ending. I personally would have loved a proper reunion between the main couple and, as someone who enjoys romance dramas, I would have loved to see at least one kiss between them. That being said, the forehead kiss was absolutely adorable and suited their relationship perfectly. It was a beautiful, tender moment that I genuinely loved.
One moment that especially stayed with me was the message shown at the very end of the drama about loving someone completely. I found it incredibly meaningful, and it even brought a few tears to my eyes. It was such a beautiful way to end the story and left me with a warm feeling long after I finished the last episode.
Overall, Love Game in Eastern Fantasy is a charming fantasy romance with lovable characters, great humor, beautiful visuals, and a couple that was incredibly easy to root for. It made me laugh, smile, cry a little, and become a fan of Ding Yuxi, which says a lot.

Great Cast, Frustrating Romance
I started this drama mainly because of Dylan Wang, and his performance was the main reason I kept watching.Unfortunately, I couldn't connect with the main romance as much as I had hoped. While the chemistry had some good moments, I often found the communication between the characters frustrating. Some misunderstandings lasted longer than necessary, and I struggled to empathize with certain decisions made by the female lead.
I also had a hard time with the female lead's best friend. I often disagreed with the advice she gave, and I felt that it made the misunderstandings even more frustrating instead of helping the relationship grow naturally.
I also found some of Shi Yan's behavior frustrating. Although it was obvious that he cared about the female lead, he often hid his feelings and came across as emotionally distant. At times, I wished he had expressed himself more openly instead of making her guess what he was thinking.
Dylan Wang did a wonderful job portraying Shi Yan. He brought charm, maturity, and emotional depth to the character, making many scenes enjoyable despite my issues with the story.
The production quality was good, and there were some sweet romantic moments. However, I personally expected a stronger emotional connection between the leads.
As a fan of Dylan Wang, I had high expectations after watching Love Between Fairy and Devil. While I still enjoyed his performance, this drama didn't resonate with me as much.
Overall, I don't regret watching it, and I still recommend giving it a chance, especially if you're a Dylan Wang fan. However, it simply wasn't the right drama for me.

A Drama That Completely Surprised Me
~ First Part (No Spoilers) ~I honestly didn't expect to love this drama as much as I did.
When I first started watching The Romance of Tiger and Rose, I expected a fun, lighthearted romantic comedy. And it definitely delivered! The humor was one of the first things that won me over, and I found myself laughing countless times throughout the first half of the drama.
What surprised me the most was how naturally the story became more emotional. Without even realizing it, I grew incredibly attached to the characters, especially Han Shuo and Chen Qianqian. Their relationship begins with hilarious and adorable moments, but as the story progresses, their romance becomes surprisingly heartfelt and emotionally powerful.
One of the biggest reasons I loved this drama so much was Ding Yuxi's performance. After watching him in Love Game in Eastern Fantasy and Moonlight, I already knew how talented he was, but Han Shuo quickly became one of my favorite characters he has ever played. He perfectly balances confidence, jealousy, vulnerability, devotion, and comedy. Whether he was making me laugh with his dramatic expressions or breaking my heart during the emotional scenes, I believed every single emotion he portrayed.
Of course, Zhao Lusi was equally wonderful. The chemistry between Ding Yuxi and Zhao Lusi was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. Their interactions always felt natural, and together they created one of the most lovable couples I've watched in a drama.
Another aspect I really appreciated was the character development. Several characters completely changed my opinion throughout the story. Some that I disliked at first eventually became some of my favorites because of their growth, while others surprised me in ways I never expected. I won't say more because discovering their journeys is part of the fun.
I also have to praise how creative the story is. The concept feels fresh, constantly mixing comedy, romance, emotional moments, political intrigue, and clever references without ever feeling repetitive. Every episode kept me invested, and I was always excited to see what ridiculous or emotional situation would happen next.
My only small criticism is that one particular misunderstanding arc was emotionally difficult for me to watch. Not because I thought it was badly written, but because I had become so attached to Han Shuo and Qianqian that watching them suffer genuinely hurt. Few dramas have made me feel that emotionally invested in a couple.
Speaking of emotions... I honestly didn't expect this drama to make me cry so much. Since watching Love Between Fairy and Devil, this is probably the drama that has made me cry the most.
I also have to mention the soundtrack. The ending theme became one of my favorite parts of the drama. Every time it played, it made the emotional scenes hit even harder, and it's definitely a song I'll keep listening to long after finishing the series.
Overall, this drama completely exceeded every expectation I had. I came for a funny romantic comedy and ended up discovering one of the most heartfelt, entertaining, and emotional romances I've watched. I laughed, cried, fell in love with the characters, and became completely invested in their story. I will definitely remember this drama for a very long time.

⚠️ SPOILER WARNING ⚠️
If you haven't finished the drama yet, stop reading here!
The biggest emotional challenge for me was definitely the misunderstanding arc. Watching Han Shuo genuinely believe that Qianqian had never loved him completely broke my heart. I didn't dislike this part because it was badly written—in fact, I think it was one of the strongest parts of the drama. It simply hurt because I had grown so attached to them that I felt every bit of their pain.
This was also the moment where Ding Yuxi impressed me the most. His portrayal of Han Shuo's heartbreak, disappointment, and unconditional love felt incredibly real. Even when Han Shuo was at his lowest, you could still feel how deeply he loved Qianqian. His performance made those scenes almost impossible for me to watch without crying.
One thing I really appreciated was how the drama allowed several characters to grow. Qin Li is probably the best example. At first, I struggled with her blind loyalty to Chuchu, but after everything she experienced, she gradually became one of my favorite supporting characters. Watching her finally make her own decisions and find happiness was incredibly satisfying.
On the other hand, Chuchu's development was one of the most disappointing parts of the story for me. I don't think she was poorly written at all—quite the opposite. Her descent felt believable. But as a person, I found myself disliking her more and more, especially when she became willing to sacrifice someone who had always been completely loyal to her.
I also have to admit that the fake suicide completely fooled me... even though part of me had started wondering if the drama was tricking us! Because of its absurd humor, I kept thinking there had to be another twist somewhere. Seeing Qianqian suddenly step out of the coffin was both hilarious and such a huge relief.
Another scene that deeply touched me was when Qianqian finally confessed the truth about her identity and revealed that she wasn't actually from Han Shuo's world, but the screenwriter who had created it. After hiding that secret for so long, the confession felt incredibly emotional, and Han Shuo's reaction made the scene even more heartbreaking.
The ending completely won me over. I loved that they found each other again in the real world, but what truly made the ending unforgettable for me was when Han Shuo called her "Orange." That single word confirmed that he remembered everything they had lived through together. It made me cry all over again, and honestly, I couldn't have asked for a more satisfying conclusion.
I even found this ending more satisfying than the ending of Love Between Fairy and Devil. While Love Between Fairy and Devil remains my favorite drama overall, The Romance of Tiger and Rose gave me exactly what I always hope for after an emotional journey: the certainty that the main couple would truly be happy together.
If I had one tiny wish, it would simply be a few extra minutes showing them living their new life together in the real world. I'm always greedy when it comes to happy endings, especially after becoming so attached to a couple like Han Shuo and Qianqian.

A Heartwarming Romance Filled with Books, Laughter and Butterflies
I started Moonlight because I wanted to watch another drama starring Ding Yuxi after falling in love with his acting. It turned out to be one of the sweetest modern romances I've watched.I also have to praise Esther Yu's performance. She brought so much warmth, charm, and natural energy to Chu Li that it was impossible not to love her. She made Chu Li feel genuine, funny, and incredibly endearing. I already loved Esther Yu before watching this drama, and once again she reminded me why she is my favorite actress. Watching Ding Yuxi and Esther Yu together was an absolute delight, and their chemistry is one of the main reasons why this drama worked so well for me.
The biggest strength of this drama is undoubtedly the chemistry between the main couple. Zhou Chuan and Chu Li felt incredibly natural together, and watching their relationship slowly develop was both heartwarming and exciting. Their interactions constantly gave me butterflies, and I found myself smiling throughout the drama.
One aspect I particularly loved was Zhou Chuan's character development. At the beginning of the drama, I honestly struggled with some parts of his personality. He often hid his true feelings, let his pride speak for him, and sometimes said the exact opposite of what he actually meant. As someone who values healthy communication, I found that frustrating, and I personally couldn't picture myself being in a relationship with someone like that.
However, that is exactly why I appreciated his development so much. Watching him gradually become more honest, communicate openly, and express his feelings without hiding behind his pride made his growth feel incredibly rewarding. By the end of the drama, he had become someone I genuinely admired, and his emotional maturity made the romance even more satisfying. Seeing that evolution was one of my favorite parts of the story.
I also loved that he never gave me any reason to doubt his feelings for Chu Li. Even when another woman tried to get closer to him, he quickly recognized her intentions, stayed honest with Chu Li, and never encouraged any misunderstandings. As someone who usually dislikes love triangles, I was pleasantly surprised by how maturely this situation was handled.
Another aspect I really loved was Zhou Chuan's friendship with Jiang. Although they started off as rivals, they gradually became true friends. Jiang never let his feelings get in the way of Zhou Chuan's happiness. Instead, he gave him honest advice, helped him realize his true feelings for Chu Li, and eventually found his own happiness with Gu. I really appreciated how mature and supportive their friendship became, and Jiang ended up being one of my favorite supporting characters.
The comedy was another highlight. I laughed much more than I expected, and many scenes still make me smile whenever I think about them. The balance between romance, humor, and emotional moments was one of the drama's greatest strengths.
I also really enjoyed the publishing world setting. Seeing the characters surrounded by books and authors gave the story a unique charm. One moment that particularly stayed with me was the reference to Natsume Sōseki and the famous line, "The moon is beautiful tonight." Knowing the meaning behind those words made the scene even more beautiful, and it became one of my favorite moments in the drama.
Unlike many romance dramas, I honestly have nothing to criticize about the ending. I loved seeing both couples happy together, and I especially enjoyed that they continued spending time together after everything they had been through. Watching the two couples share so many moments made the ending feel warm, complete, and incredibly satisfying. It was exactly the kind of ending I always hope for after becoming attached to the characters.
Overall, Moonlight is a comforting, funny, and heartwarming romance with lovable characters, wonderful chemistry, meaningful friendships, and plenty of moments that made me smile. It made me appreciate Ding Yuxi even more, and he quickly became one of my favorite actors. Combined with another wonderful performance from Esther Yu, who once again reminded me why she is my favorite actress, this drama became an unforgettable experience for me.
